Great Family Trip

"We had a wonderful trip. There were 8 of us (4 adults and 4 children ages 7-11). The children loved all the indoor and outdoor activities. There was plenty of room for our entire group. The location is very walkable or short golf cart ride to the beach and some restaurants. Nicole was always very responsive to all our questions prior to and during our stay."

"Nicole was a great host and was very responsive and check in went smoothly. There are some minor nuisances to getting the hot tub up to temp- which to Nicole's credit, she was quick to get the appropriate help out the property to get resolved. I'd recommend getting some instruction on this at the beginning of the stay, but in short, the tub doesn't get to temp if you are running the waterfall. There's also a blue tooth speaker system by the pool that we found late in the game. We had a great stay, and the property was a great gathering place for our large group. They have a golf cart on site for rent. I would look in to this option on our next booking."

"We had an amazing time! Our group included my wife and son (16 months), my parents, sister and boyfriend. The house is spacious and has a very large sitting area with enough room for everyone. Pool area is fantastic! We had perfect weather each day and the pool was great to have. The location is great. Walkable to both the beach and town, but not a "short" walk. If we book again we would probably get a golf cart for convenience. But really nice location for morning walks with our son and a quick walk to the pier where you can get fresh fish and drinks. Overall the house was stocked for our son in terms of bedding, high chair and toys which made that part of the trip a breeze."

Relaxing retreat

"This is a beautiful location within easy walking to the beach for nightly sunsets. This is in a quieter neighborhood than many other properties. Nice private pool/hot tub area is where we spent most of our time. The living area and bedrooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Beautiful bathroom finishes. There were some maintenance issues, lots of burned out lightbulbs, some backyard lighting not working. Bicycles need new tubes and the golf cart was not operational. Those items could have made it better for exploring the area. Overall we had a fabulous time!"

"Great location, obviously updated within the last few years - just overall easy. The property owner/manger was very easy to deal with, quick to respond to my questions, and very nice to connect with. We were only there for 3 days/nights but could have/wanted to stay a lot longer!"

Summer Family Vacation at Happy Hibiscus

"This was our first trip to Anna Maria Island. It was a beautiful place with lots of beaches, restaurants and fun places to explore. The house was a perfect size for our group and the children loved the pool and outdoor yard space. The views from the house were wonderful. The bedrooms were a good size and the home was comfortable for our group of 6 adults and 2 children, ages 2 and 3. I would have liked there to be more security on the doors and to the steps downstairs in regards to children. There was no working door alarm on the access to the pool. There was a bit of a shortage of linens and we had to request more pillow cases, but the owner had pillow cases sent the same day which was helpful. There was a problem with one toilet which caused us to only have 2 toilets for 8 people on our last 3 days which was a bit of a hiccup and the tiles in both of the bathroom floors were cracked and really should be repaired, but all in all, it was a nice place in a great location. The owner was very kind and helpful as possible."

Spacious Home with Lots of Amenities

"The house has an open floor plan, a huge game room downstairs, and room to spare! So spacious compared with other AMI beach rentals we have used in the past. It was well stocked with games and activities; we really enjoyed using the paddle board out in the bay. The bay side of the island with a small sand beach and two piers is really just right across the street. Totally fine for swimming and relaxing. Walking to the main beach takes about 15 minutes with kids but was definitely doable... or just rent a golf cart! The Happy Hibiscus was really the perfect home for our family gathering!"

Amazing Long Weekend in Anna Maria!

"As beautiful as Anna Maria is all on its own - we had a hard time leaving the house especially the pool area. It was so relaxing and everything about the property was extremely accommodating. So convenient to everything too! We loved every minute - except that those minutes went by way too fast. Nicole was great to work with and very responsive from making the reservation to the check-out. We will be back!!"

Great Time at the Happy Hibiscus

"We had a great time staying at the Happy Hibiscus. The Beds were comfortable, the showers great with plenty of hot water and soap and little shampoo bottles in each one. The kitchen and grill were in great shape. The coffee pot has one of those metal filters so you don't need to bring any, but it worked great with a paper filter inside the metal one. There are no leftover spices or anything in the house (except salt and pepper) so bring or buy what you want. Downstairs we enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The pool is not huge, but it was big enough to cool off in and even have 2 or 3 people floating on the pool floats. There was a nice underwater bench to sit on along one side. The blue tooth speakers outside were great. It takes the hot tub a few minutes to warm up, but it was very comfortable for us to sit in. We had 7 people in there and I'm sure we could have fit a couple of more with no difficulty. The house was VERY well stocked with beach stuff. There must have been at least 8 beach chairs (probably more), a cooler, 2 beach umbrellas and a pretty nice beach cart to help carry some of that to the beach. There is also a paddle board. (we didn't use the board, but the bay is only a block or so away and it would be easy for a couple to carry it there.) There were also beach towels AND bath towels. The house is closer to the bay than it is to the Gulf. The only reason I rated the location at 4 stars is because I was hoping the beach a block away had the same nice sand the Gulf side does but it was a very small beach with a bit more seaweed. Certainly usable, but nowhere near as nice as the the beach at Bean point. Bean point beach is about a half a mile walk down the end of the street the driveway comes off of. You can also drive down there and park on the side of the street or drop folks off with your stuff. Parking there is limited. The walk wasn't bad, particularly with the beach cart they provided. It is probably about half a mile to the street with stores and ice cream shops and stuff. There are 2 bikes (we didn't use) but it would be an easy ride to that area. Overall a great house in a good location. I would stay there again for sure."

"This home was perfect for our crew of grandma, mom and 3 kids ages 8-13. The pool area and game was perfect for all of us. The hot tub was soooo nice in the evening! The beach and park right down the road (and Anna Maria Pier) was great for watching the sunrise and morning entertainment. My son got to fish off the pier and we would go shelling and play at the little park there each morning. My older daughters loved shopping and painting sand dollars on pine ave--just a few minutes away. Beautiful bean point is just down the road. The home includes all the beach gear you'll need! Wish I'd have known we could've used a cart through a house vs. renting one but that was an oversight on my part--be sure to ask! Happy Hibiscus has everything you'll need for a perfect getaway--enjoy!!"

"The house is literally across the beach from a small public park with beach access on the bay side and about 5 short blocks to the MOST AMAZING Gulf side beach at Bean Point...literally the northern bend of the island. The house was perfectly appointed in every aspect...from dishes to dish detergent, plenty of pool/beach and bath towels, nice comfortable linens for the beds, impeccably clean and so many options for entertainment that even on the random rainy weekend not even the most difficult to entertain in the group can get bored. Open concept living room with ample comfortable furniture for everyone to have a comfy seat, space to work and to work out. All rooms have their own TV and Living Room TV is set up with streaming services. We didn't watch a minute of TV so I can't report if all TVs have the same. Rooms are on the opposite end of the house so early to bed can sleep while the rest of the group stays up. There is a nice 4 burner gas grill on the deck right ourside the kitchen and a lovely front porch deck which was a beautiful spot to catch the sunrise with a cup of coffee every morning. The whole lower level (1st floor/ground level) is behind the garage. It has a futon and a large full bath in what is a great game room with entertainment consoles for the gamers, foosball, darts, ping pong and pool tables. This room leads out to the pool area. The pool is what we call a "drunk pool" not more than 5.5' deep with a tahitian deck and seating all along the length of one side. Great for sitting and talking and for little ones who may not feel confident yet. The hot tub was delicious :) This area has a massive TV, wireless speakers, lounge area sitting and a high top dining table with stools, a stash of pool toys as well as a putting green! We were a group from ages 5 to 78 (including 2 tweens(!))and NOT 1 person had a complaint. The only thing you may need to remember to bring aside from personal effects and food is oil for cooking and aluminum foil. That's it!"

"Everything you need and more! A half block from Bayfront Park and beaches. Two blocks from rod and reel. Less than a half a mile from shops and restaurants. The listing doesn’t even list all of the things the home has to offer. The pool and hot tub are perfect. We would definitely book again!"

"All in all we had a great time. The red tide in the area got us all sick but the home was in a good location close to everything and it had a bonus bathroom and bed downstairs which was a nice supprise. The outdoor area is really nice. The only complaint we had was the air filters need cleaned really bad."

A little slice of paradise at the Happy Hibiscus!

"Wow! Where to begin :-) We had a wonderful time at the Happy Hibiscus. Walking distance to both beaches and the bay, the house has been beautifully renovated and has all high end finishes. Very welcoming, open living areas. Bed and bathrooms are very well appointed, with super comfortable, new beds. Kitchen was totally stocked with everything necessary....even a couple of sharp knives!!! A rarity for most vacation houses! The outdoor area is incredible - gorgeous pool and hot-tub area with seating and dining areas, gas firepit, bluetooth outdoor speakers and wonderful putting green. The extra touches are what really make this an exceptional rental; tons of board games, video games, outdoor games, bikes, everything for the beach, including chairs, umbrellas, beach cart, toys etc. etc. Great, friendly communication from Nicole. I would recommend the Happy Hibiscus without hesitation...we can't wait to return!!!"

Amazing Anna Maria Gettaway

"Took my 2 kids and their families for a weekend stay to celebrate a birthday. Amenities galore and in-between beach time and meals out, we had a blast having family competitions with chip and putt, cornhole and foosballl. There simply was not enough time to get to all of the included options that were available. We even used the grill one night for steaks. This was by far the best family gathering that we have had and all could not wait to come back! Highly recommended!"

The perfect accommodations and the perfect location!

"Walk down the street with your coffee and watch the sun rise. Walk a couple blocks in the opposite direction with your favorite beverage and watch the sun set. The home is perfect for couples or families with activities for all OR just set by or in the pool and chill. Great restaurants are very close. My favorites are the Sandbar and The Ugly Grouper. Anna Maria and the Happy Hibiscus an escape from reality."
