4 adult couples winter getaway
"Great location. Appears loud being so close to the busy road but you do not notice any noise while in the pool area, it is well secluded with palm trees, very tropical and pretty. Pool needed to be warmer to swim. All rooms were great, all guests were happy. Enjoyed open layout of the house. Grounds were very pretty, we enjoyed sitting on the porch and in the pool area. Renting bikes is a huge plus since parking can be difficult. Location of house was great, centrally located to everything. SeaBreeze was very responsive to our questions and requests. Great stay on a beautiful island!"

The Gables
"This is a pleasant property, well furnished for our needs. Easy two block walk to the beach. It's not as bright as the photos, but very comfortable. Except the master bed which needs mattress replacement - very noisy and squeaky. It accommodated our party of seven comfortably - two couples and three children. Pool is heated, beach and pool toys included. It's on a fairly busy street, but the noise was only an issue when at the pool. Anna Maria is a nice place to visit, and this is a good choice to stay at."

Great Anna Maria House
"The property was well situated off Marina Dr one of the main roads - pool rooms dining area was great. Lots of beach chairs and wagon etc made it way to walk the three blocks to thr beach. It was super clean and room sizes were comfortable. Note the rooms are all on the second floor so if you have an older person or really little ones you'll have to contend with the stairs. The kitchen was a little on the small side in terms of counter space (note washer and dryer are in the kitchen ) but appliances worked well except the electric stove which I couldn't figure out the heat settings (I'm used to gas). Only thing really missing was more plastic wear to use outside and for kids, tumblers to take to beach, basic food items like salt and pepper. Other than some small details the house and management were awesome and would recommend for two families with kids."

House is immaculate!
"Quality and amenities of the house: The house is immaculate, everything worked properly and it was quite comfortable. This of course, is very important if you need to be inside the house because of weather or just for downtime. We are a family of four and there was plenty of space for us to be together or separate, if we needed. It is on the main street, yet remarkably quiet and private. Location: even by golf cart, we were no more than a 2 to 3 minute drive to the beach. Also, it was a very short drive by car (or a little longer by golf cart!) to many wonderful sites, activities and restaurants. Anna Maria Island is a wonderful vacation destination. You feel that you are off the beaten path, in a quiet, beach setting. However, you do not feel like you are disconnected from civilization and are close to anything that you may need. The owner: we went through VRBO and communicated with the owner Valerie through that application. She was never anything but responsive, pleasant and enthusiastic to have us as guests. Questions were answered immediately and to our satisfaction. Value: we've stayed at several houses of at least this quality for the same period of time and this house was an excellent value, and even a little less expensive than we thought compared to its comparable properties. We would not hesitate to use this owner/property again."

"What a grand property! Wonderfully decorated & landscaped. Very clean, roomy. Loved the TV room/ study. Great kitchen. Could use a set of everyday glasses. Tasty/cold water from fridge. Well stocked shed with beach supplies. Nice pool, even nicer outdoor shower to cool off after beach. Clean outdoor grill. You do hear Marina Dr however, after a day it doesn't bother you. Trolly stop out front. Awesome week on AMI!"

Better than we could have imagined!
"I don't know if I can summarize all the goodness of this property In one paragraph! This home Is amazing! It was immaculate! It was roomy and spacious enough for 2 adults and 4 teens. The fully stocked kitchen was a huge help for dining in. The bedrooms were spacious and comfy. Bathrooms were very clean (always a particular of mine!) The she's was full Of beach items that made it so nice when we headed to the beach. Having the pool right there was another plus since we were trying to social distance from the crowds. We spent lots of time there. The new pool lights and fountain were gorgeous. The owners were very responsive and available for any issues. We will come back and The Gables is where we will stay!!"

Perfect Family Vacation
"We were a 3 generation family that included ages 12-60. We had to cancel a cruise vacation 3 times during Covid. We finally gave up and decided to give Florida a try. Prior to our trip, Valerie was great for answering questions and keeping me informed of when the property would be ready. The property was even better than the listing stated. Great downstairs layout where you could get away from the crowd if you wanted. 4 upstairs bedrooms were perfectly laid out with 3 of them have access to the porch/balcony. Distanced enough that you could easily take an afternoon nap without being disturbed. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. A BIG plus for me was that there was quality cookwear and knives in the kitchen. Not a big deal for some but would not having them would have been a miserable week in the kitchen for me, Pool layout was great, with 8 lounge chairs. The area was sun for part of the day and shade for part. Afternoons when we had too much sun on the beach, the kids could still be at the pool without getting sunburned. Beach chairs were great to take to the beach which was less than a 10 minute walk. We will definitely be back to the island and are hoping this property is available when to need it."

Gorgeous sized house for a fair price!
"This was our second trip to this house and we chose it as the owner has high levels of integrity which is demonstrated through how attentive they are to your needs. This is not a property vacation management style rental but an owner who lives on the island and best of all, the prices seem very fair compared to some equivalent houses we looked at, some even double! Val will do what ever she can to meet your needs and ours involved a child gate this time round to which she darted of to the hardware store for us. The house is a good proportion with three full rooms and a room in the centre with a sofa bed which we did not use. Not sure what else I can say but when you build a relationship with a host such as Val, it's clear you feel you must return and we will, likely 2020."

Thanksgiving at The Gables
"We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week at The Gables. The house was wonderful with plenty room for our group of 7 ranging in age from 6 months to 86 years. My grandkids loved the pool and spent a lot of time on the beach , a short walk from the house. Valerie was very helpful from the short notice booking, to providing a baby crib and having lights turned on when we arrived, to providing information on activities on the island. We cooked a Thanksgiving dinner at the house which shows how well equipted the kitchen was. The house was very spacious with room for all to find their own space when needed. We will definitely be back. We love Anna Maria Island! The beach horses were the best. My granddaughter is still talking about her experience!"

Wonderful
"We had a fantastic stay at the Gables. The house was perfect for the 5 of us (all adults), really comfortable, clean, well maintained, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Valerie (the owner) was charming and could not have been more helpful. The location is great with a trolley bus service right outside and it is walkable distance to shops, bars and restaurants. The beach, which is beautiful and not busy, is 2 blocks away. We would highly recommend the Gables and the adjacent property 'The Lighthouse', also owned by Valerie, which she was kind enough to show us around. We will almost certainly return to AMI and undoubtedly endeavour to stay at one of Valerie's properties when we do."

Can't wait to return
"Our family, six adults and two grandchildren, spent a wonderful week on Anna Maria Isle. The weather, location and our accommodation at the Gables provided a perfect week. From our very first contact with the home owner, Valerie Clark, to the last day she was very responsive and helpful. The home is beautifully decorated and immediately made us "feel at home". The first floor of the home lent itself to an open floor plan with all the bedrooms on the second floor. This worked well with two young children whom most nights went to bed early and woke up early. The landscaping of the property gave it a true "island" feel. There is a gazebo that was perfect for enjoying breakfast outside and one evening we barbecued and had dinner in the gazebo. The pool is well maintained and provided us another area of the home to relax and kick back. The home has every amenity along with all the necessary beach chairs, umbrellas, carts and toys for a great "beach" vacation. The gulf is two blocks away from the house. I've already told family members and friends about our stay and highly recommend "The Gables"."

"Myself and family had a fabulous time at The Gables. Everything stated in the description was accurate. The house was beautiful and very clean and fully equipped with everything you would ever need. Christmas in Florida

Spacious and clean inside and out
"We had a wonderful week in Holmes Beach. Communication from the house caretaker was wonderful, and she offered many services that made our stay easier, like stocking up ahead of time on a few grocery items, and securing bike rentals. The house is well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. The private pool is just outside the front door, making quick dips or leisurely afternoons poolside a breeze. The house is located about a mile from the end of the island, with beach-side restaurants and cute ice cream stores. In one way, the location of the property is great because of access to the free trolley, but the location was also the one negative issue we had - which was traffic noise. The house (and the pool) are hidden from the main road by heavy bushes, but the traffic noise was surprisingly loud. We were there in the middle of peak tourist season, so that would certainly explain a lot of it. It wouldn’t stop us from staying there again, but it just wasn’t quite what I envisioned, never having been to AMI before. The amenities and service from the property manager positively overshadowed that one issue."

Thanksgiving Get Away
"We had 7 people staying at the house during Thanksgiving week of which two were a 3 year old and a 6 month old. The first floor was nice and open, which was nice to be able to watch the kids while cooking and doing other things. The second floor had four bedrooms. Our 3 year old stayed in the master with us on a mattress on the floor and the 6 month old was in a crib in the queen bedroom. There was another room with twin beds. The fourth room had a day bed with a trundle, which was a great space but there was a big window that let in a lot of light and would have woken the 3 year old up at the crack of dawn. (Small children problems.) The house is within walking distance to a beautiful beach, the pool was a good side to cool off and hang out and the location on the island was well placed for all amenities - Publix, retaurants, etc. If timing works out next year for travel, we will definitely return."

"We have stayed in many areas and properties in Florida over the years but this one was by far exceptional. The decor is stunning, the layout is perfect for our family and the location is ideal for beach lovers. My sons, husband and I favoured different rooms in the house, each with their unique theme. Each piece of furniture, light fixture or art is unique and creates an atmosphere of joy that we thoroughly enjoyed. The pool was warm and clean and we enjoyed the bicycles. Valerie and Richard are warm, friendly owners who welcomed us and looked after our needs. We will certainly be returning to the Gables!!"

"We had a great stay at The Gables! The house was absolutely beautiful and even larger than we expected. We loved the outdoor space and the pool was amazing. Even the TV room was nice and cozy! The only drawback - and it was minor - is that the house is situated along the main road so it was a little noisy when we sat out on the upper deck. The owners still provided a lot of privacy because there are palm trees lining the property along the pool. We had relatives visit for the day and they were blown away by how beautiful the house and property is. We would absolutely stay here again. Loved every minute!"
Stunning decor in ideal location
"A beautiful villa that provides luxury and comfort. Only a short walk to the lovely beaches and a short drive to shops and restaurants. Our family loved our stay here. Many positives - the decor, the WiFi, outdoor bbq and eating area, the most comfortable beds and pillows, well made throughout - nothing has come off or broken, lovely balcony areas, nearest beach was lovely, Pool was too small for swimming but ideal to cool off after time on the sun deck. We love AMI as an area it has everything for a laid back family holiday. Some great restaurants but also delis and supermarkets should you decide to eat in. If you want quality family time this is ideal."

An outstanding property for a really stylish holiday
"We stayed at Valerie’s Lighthouse 3 years ago. That is an outstanding property. The Gables is even better. A really fine property with excellent furnishings through. Three good befroooms a large lounge dining room and kitchen supplemented with a separate sitting room. Valerie has not merely furnished it spectacularly but introduced a large number of personal touches to make it into a home of outstanding quality. There is a good sized pool and the beach is minutes away. The house is conveniently located for the whole of Anna Maria’s shops and restaurants. For somebody who wants something different if outstanding quality this takes some beating. Finally Valerie devotes her personal attention to ensure there are no problems and responds immediately to any issue."
