60th Birthday Celebration on AMI

"Sunset Landing is a fabulous house! Our group consisted of 12 adults who gathered for a 60th birthday celebration. The house accommodated our group beautifully with all the bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and every bedroom had a TV. The whole house is so bright, beautifully decorated and welcoming. We all felt so at home. We cooked several dinners for our group and had plenty of plates, drinkware, silverware and seating for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool which was our own tropical oasis during our stay. It was so beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. There were 8 new bikes which we enjoyed using biking to Pickleball every day. The house is in such a great location. It’s a very short walk to the beach and close to grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. The beach itself is absolutely gorgeous and was not crowded during our stay. We enjoyed walking down to the beach for beautiful sunsets. Jim was very helpful and responsive from the initial booking through check out. Any questions we had during our stay were promptly addressed. We would highly recommend a beach vacation on AMI at Sunset Landing. We would definitely love to return."

"The house is well organized,room for lots of people. The pool and area around it are great. The kids loved the pool and the table, chairs and TV down there made it a great place to spend a lot of time. A short walk to the beach and a few shops. Great restaurants in AMI. We had a couple appliance issues but they were solved fairly quickly."

Beautiful, clean and short walk to beach!

"The moment we walked through the door at sunset landing we were in awe! It was so beautiful and clean! There were 4 adults and 6 kids! The kids had fun in the pool and the arcade was a hit!! We utilized the beach carts, wagon and bikes every day and they came in handy when going to the beach! The house was well stocked! They even saved the day with a portable high chair and a pack and play! We did a lot of cooking during our stay and my only complaint would be the lack of kitchen utensils. Measuring spoons and cups and big serving sooons would have been nice but we made due! The coffee maker gave us fits and had some minor pool issues but this in no way affected our stay and we had an amazing week!! We would definitely recommend this beautiful beach home!! The owner was very quick to respond to any questions we had regarding the house! He was very easy to work with! We would love to come back and stay at sunset landing!! "

Great Family Beach House

"Our extended family stayed over 2018 Christmas holiday and the home worked perfectly for the 10 of us. The four children (10-14) said it was the coolest beach house that they have ever been in. Indoor/outdoor layout works well, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. When issues arose, the owner (Jim) was immediately responsive, including having the pool maintenance company fix a problem within an hour. Lots of great beach equipment for use as well. The added bonus of arcade game (Lots of Donkey Kong and Galaga competitions) and foosball table made the week fun. Would definitely recommend and will stay again during our next trip to AMI."

Bad weather but still fun

"The house is large and airy. We were nine and because we had a lot of rain we were indoors a lot more than is probably typical in a beach house. The living room really doesn’t have adequate seating for such an occasion. We also ate in probably more than usual and found that while there were lots of plates and bowls and such the supply of utensils was a bit meager (e.g., one small cutting board and rather inadequate knives.) Had the weather been nicer we would have spent time in the yard and the pool and probably wouldn’t have missed what we did. The location is lovely with lots of good restaurants nearby. A few of us are local to the area and able to recommend off island activities as well. The owner was very attentive to our calls and questions, the beds very comfortable and all in all a nice place."

"This house was wonderful - the accommodations were great, proximity to the beach was great, the entertainment was great for ALL of us (multiple televisions, WiFi, MultiArcade video game console, Foosball, heated pool), and having access to the beach stroller and beach equipment was a real plus."

"Our family of 11 had a wonderful time in this very spacious property. It was very well-equipped and nicely furnished. Jim even purchased a Pack 'n Play for the baby before our arrival. The many beach and pool toys were also greatly appreciated. The island beaches are absolutely beautiful and the pool was put to great use. Jim was a gracious host who was very easy to work with from beginning to end. He checked in on several times to be sure all was well. I definitely recommend this house and hope to return in the future."

Great location and layout. Good value for the price

"Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our large group of adults, and a great layout for being together in one common area for making drinks and snacks and lounging. Easy walk to beach and the restaurants and bars - the best location we have had in 5 years of renting at AMI. Only two usable beach chairs and two tents, so if you want chairs or umbrellas you should bring your own or plan to rent them. Additionally, you will need to purchase bathroom tissue, detergent, and trash bags if you are staying for more than a couple of days."

Perfect Girls’ Weekend at Sunset Landing

"Just came back from an incredible stay at Sunset Landing on AMI. We spent a lot of time looking for a house that could accommodate a group of 11 women from all over the country for a long weekend get together. The house was perfect for us with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, beautiful space and thoughtful amenities. We didn’t spend much time at the pool because we were lucky enough to have ideal weather and the beach is such a short walk away. It is also an easy drive to the grocery store but otherwise used the trolley or the Monkey Bus to get around the island. Jim could not have been nicer and quick to reply when we had questions and communicate how much he wanted us to have a great experience at his lovely home. I’d highly recommend Sunset Landing and AMI, we will definitely be coming back. "

"This home fell short of expectations for the price paid. Upon arrival, we found a pool that was not only filled with debris, but was in need of a cleaning and vacuuming. We shared this information with the owner, along with pictures and was told there was a skimmer there for our use. The furniture in the common areas are worn, filthy and stained. The refrigerator is rusted and the ice/water dispenser do not function. The light over the stove does not work (we used a griddle for cooking, on the stovetop). The walls throughout the house are filthy, in desperate need of painting. The master bath shower floor is covered in black mold. There are TVs in each room, however you can only have 3 on at a time, so one couple wasn't able to enjoy the room TV at night. Upon departure, we were instructed to strip the beds, which we did. We found urine, blood stained mattresses in all rooms, and a "
