Orlando International Airport within the city limits of Orlando. Travel time to downtown Orlando is 11 minutes. It also has a hotel on site for late night arrivals or early departures. This airport is the second busiest in the state of Florida and services 39 airline carriers. in addition to U.S. and Canadian options, it is the best option for European flights.
Kissimmee Gateway Airport and Orlando Executive Airport are both small airports perfect for guests flying themselves in. The Kissimmee Gateway Airport is only 8 miles away from Walt Disney World and 10 miles away from the Orlando -Orange County Convention Centre. This airport accommodates general aviation air service 24 hours a day with two paved airport runways--respectively 5,000 and 6,000 feet. Orlando Executive Airport provides 24-hour service through base operators, Sheltair Aviation Services (SAS) and Atlantic Aviation, an FAA air traffic control tower, and has full ILS capability. There is an abundance of transportation options at the major airports including Uber, taxis, shuttles and limousine services. Most are open 24 hours a day but we highly suggest booking transportation in advance. Public transport is very limited in the vacation rental home areas, so your own vehicle is really the best option. There are lots of transportation shuttles available, but your own vehicle will give you much more freedom to come and go as you please. There are also lots of local restaurants to explore, not to mention the endless attractions and shopping! Don't forget you'll need to pay for parking at the theme parks. Some annual passes include parking, so do check if it works financially better to upgrade - only one member of the party needs an annual pass for parking a vehicle.
