"Thanks Dan!! We really enjoyed our week in your One-Bedroom condo at Runaway Bay! It's a beautiful, clean, well maintained condo equipped with everything you could possibly need for a great vacation. Having a washer and dryer right in the unit was awesome. The pool was GREAT...large with cool water which was SO refreshing on a hot Florida summer day, and the beach was a quick stroll across the street...we took advantage with long daily morning walks! We fell in love with the quaint Bradenton Beach/Anna Maria Island area with the great restaurants and fun entertainment, cute little shops, bike rentals, beautiful sunsets on the beach, etc., so much that we are actually considering retiring there next year....perhaps we will be neighbors! Great One Bedroom Condo
"This is the first time we've stayed in Dan's one bedroom condo.It has everything you need. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry, a lot of towels, clean, nice view, quiet. Very close to the beach. Dan was great to work with and was very prompt in getting back to us with answers to our questions. There is so much to see and do in the area. We enjoyed our stay."

Amazing!!!
"Our stay at Dan's condo in Runaway Bay, was our first and it was incredible!! The one bedroom condo is beautifully decorated with bright and cheerful colors. It was very clean, spacious and the natural lighting is a great way to wake up in the morning! Working with Dan for our first family vacation was a breeze. He was always quick to respond, very helpful & informative and provided a great list of activities and delicious restaurants to enjoy on the island. Our friends' family stayed in Dan's two bedroom condo and it was also beautifully decorated, very clean and spacious. Great Condo!
"This is the third time we've stayed in Dan's one bedroom condo. The unit is spacious, bright and well decorated. The condo has everything you need (a well stocked kitchen and laundry room, as well as beach towels, sand toys, etc., for enjoying the beach). One of the best reasons to stay in this condo at Runaway Bay is you have all the comforts of home and right across the street is the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. There are many great restaurants in the area. We highly recommend Dan's one bedroom condo."

Wonderful condo and location
"My husband and I just spent two weeks at Dan's one bedroom condo, and found it to be all that the reviews said it was. It is very clean, comfortable and well stocked. There is a nice view from the balcony which we enjoyed quite a bit. You can flip flop from your condo to the beach or the pool within a few minutes. Publix and Fresh Market are both close if you want to cook or grill, or enjoy the many diverse restaurants up and down the island. Dan provides great customer service and we were very pleased with our experience."

Fabulous One Bedroom Condo
"We vacation every year in Bradenton Beach - Anna Maria Island. We have rented several places and Dan's condo was the best. It looks just like the pictures on VRBO. It was on the top floor of a two-story building. It was very clean and comfortable. The complex was very quite and peaceful.
The bed was king size bed with a thick pillow top, very comfortable. The bedroom had plenty of storage, as well as, a flat screen TV in the armoire. The living room was roomy had plenty of seating. The sofa was a pull out perfect for kid(s).
There is a screen in porch off the living room with bedroom access too. It had two rocking chairs that faced a small lagoon with a fountains features. Very relaxing and peaceful. There was a full size upgraded kitchen with granite countertops and fully equipped. A stacked washer and dryer. The condo was conveniently located to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. You can ride your bike to Bridge Street in 10 minutes with side walks the entire way, or hop on the free Island trolley.
I would highly recommend staying at either of Dan's condos at Runaway Bay. Even though it is not located directly on the beach it is a quick 5 minute walk to the beach, and extremely affordable. Dan was easy to work with and extremely responsive to answer any questions we had before we booked and during our stay. It's a great place to stay. 5 Stars!"

Lovely Comfortable Condo in Runaway Bay
"DAN,S 1 BEDROOM CONDO WAS VERY CLEAN AND JUST AS THE PICTURES SHOW,FOR US THE HIGHLIGHT OF RUNAWAY BAY WAS THE LARGE HEATED SALT WATER POOl. THE BEACH WAS NICE AND CLEAN,AND WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE, WE STAYED THE SECOND WEEK IN SEPT,2015,AND THE TEMPERATURE WAS COMFORTABLE, AND WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS CONDO . THE ONLY REASON WE DID NOT PUT A FIVE STAR RATING WAS THAT IT IS NOT BEACH FRONT AS WE THOUGHT."

Clean, close to beach, baby friendly!
"We had such a great trip to Dan's condo at Runaway Bay. The condo was clean, spacious, quiet and a close 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach. We were able to make many meals in the condo as there were pots,pans, and lots of utensils to use. We took our 9 month daughter with us and she was very comfortable in the condo as well.
Dan was a great communicator and made sure all details were smoothed out for our stay regardless of a few hiccups. We can't wait to go back!"

Runaway Bay The best place to stay!!!
"We stayed in Dan's 1 bedroom condo. It looked exactly like the pictures. Clean, bright, roomy, a perfect layout. Everything you could need Dan has it there for you. Right across the street is the beautiful beach. Dan let us bring our two little dogs. they loved it too! Dan was the best owner we ever dealt with. He was friendly, helpful, prompt, all over the best. We would definetly recommend this place to family or friends. Dan's condo is the one we would rent again. We love Anna Maria Island. Bridge Street Bistro has the best burgers and coconut shrimp and pastrami sandwiches by far."

Favorite Vacation
"We absolutely loved the 1 bedroom condo. The decor was perfect; the bed was wonderful to sleep in. We had all the pillows that we could want. The condo has everything that you could possibly need. Dan thinks of everything to make your visit perfect. The condo was very clean when we arrived. The complex is just as great. The walk to the beach was short. We had our 3 yr. old with us and it was an easy trip for her to walk. This was our 1st time to AMI and FELL IN LOVE with the island. Can not wait to go back and Dan's condo is where we will stay. It was perfect for our family of 4. You can’t go wrong staying here!"

Great Vacation!
"This was the second time we stayed in Dan's one bedroom condo and, just like the first time, we had a great vacation. The condo is very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a beach vacation. The location is great - just steps to the beach. Dan, the owner of the condo, is a pleasure to work with. The highlights of our stay were taking a walk on the beach each morning, drinking coffee on the screened balcony while listening to the water fountains, taking a dip in the large pool, and relaxing on the benches on the bay side pier while watching the sunrise (several mornings there was a Blue Heron perched on the pier). Also, there are many great seafood restaurants nearby. We definitely recommend staying in Dan's condo and look forward to returning for our third stay!"

"Can't go wrong with this rental. Rented 1 bedroom first week of August, 2015. Arrived early and not a problem getting in way before check-in time. Great interaction with Dan answering any questions. Condo very clean and nicely decorated. Anna Maria Island great atmosphere and relatively quiet for a "resort" like attraction. Spent a great deal of time at the city pier fishing and close enough to take a party boat fishing out of St. Pete (found in one of fliers in the condo). Highly recommend the Cortez Bait & Seafood market for fresh fish (although the bait is for commercial fisherman; can by personal bait (squid and shrimp) right over the bridge). If you want to eat out several nice restaurants close by. Pool at condo very nice too! Afterwards, Dan very prompt with down payment refund and no dickering.
Only issue we had was with Mother Nature: rained for the first 3 days and we never really saw a post card sunset.
Would do it again in a heartbeat."

Awesome!
"The unit was as described and its was very clean and spacious. The decor was very nice and beach themed. Dan was very helpful with information on the area since we'd have never been there and suggested many restaurants for us to try. We tried the Sandbar, Skinny's place, Anna Maria Oyster Bar, Sharky's Seagrill and several others which were all very good but these were our favorites. The location is perfect being so close to Cortez & AMI. We have already recommended this property to several people and can't wait to stay there again."

Great Condo on Anna Maria Island!
"This was our first time staying in Dan's one bedroom condo and we had a terrific time. The condo is spacious and bright and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. We loved having our morning coffee on the screened in balcony while listening to the fountains and watching the herons and egrets. The condo is located right across the street from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and within walking distance of several great restaurants. Runaway Bay is very well maintained and everyone we met, either while walking around the property or at the pool, was very friendly. We love this condo!!
"I'm very particular when it comes to where my family stays and I was not disappointed! The condo is beautifully decorated, clean and had everything we could possibly need. The bed in the master was so comfortable. Our kids used the pull out sofa and had no complaints. I was thrilled we were able to bring our dog. I loved sitting in the rockers and drinking coffee on the screened porch. The view of the pond was so peaceful. Dan, we thank you so much for renting your condo to us! We will definitely be back!!"

Best Place Ever
"Having never rented a HomeAway property before in our travels, we were happily astounded at what a wonderful place Dan's one-bedroom condo at Runaway Bay Resort is! Beautifully decorated, wonderfully clean, all the necessities waiting and ready in the kitchen, bedroom, and bath, this condo is easily equal to any of the highest cost resorts we have stayed at between the Caribbean and Alaska. In addition to the wonderful condo, the resort has a great salt-water pool, for when you're not running around to see the sites, with free trolley car transportation available on a regular schedule, (if you don't have a car, or don't want to use it), which will take you to a great local Publix grocery store down the street, the local restaurants, beaches, and plenty of shopping locales. Dan is a pleasure to work with, and was very accommodating in setting up our stay --- in fact we actually got to meet him there as we were checking in, as he was just finishing up a stay in his two-bedroom condo in the same resort that day. We were there for our anniversary, and aunt's 95th birthday, and can't wait to find another excuse to head down and stay there again!"

Great Place!
"We had a great time in Dan's condo during our stay.....we're already planning our trip for next year and will bring another family to stay in Dan's other condo, just a few doors down. The unit was very clean and the decor was great - colorful and fun!
We had our newborn with us and Dan recommended ABC rentals, which rents baby equipment, which they even dropped at the condo and it was waiting for us when we arrived.
The pool was great and of course the beach is just across the street and easily accessible.
Such a great time and we can't wait to go back!"

Excellent!
"This was our third year renting this condo. We have already reserved nine weeks for next year. We consider it a privilege to stay there. Dan continually upgrades the condo and/or the contents so his guests will have a wonderful experience. I love to walk in the morning along the back of the property and to be greeted by the great blue heron and the white egret. And then walk on the beach in the afternoon. The people in the complex are very friendly and the grounds are very well maintained. The condo and Anna Maria Island will make any stay enjoyable."

A real gem on Anna Maria Island
"My partner and I rented Dan's lovely one-bedroom unit after seeing it on vrbo.com. We'd never done this before and were hesitant but willing to take a chance. And we're SO GLAD we did. Dan's condo was a clean, well-equipped unit and just what we needed for our two-week winter getaway. It was so easy to get around the island either on foot or riding the trolley that we really didn't need our car. The Runaway Bay complex was wonderfully quiet and filled with friendly snowbirds like us. (The only problem was that we had to leave!) Thanks again, Dan, for your professionalism and concern throughout the rental process. We'd definitely recommend this to friends and family."

Hands Down = Most Elegant Unit at Runaway Bay = Thanks Dan!
"Well my wife and I (both in our late 60s) have been coming down to Bradenton Beach for 20+ years, 10 of the most recent staying at Runaway Bay. We previously rented with the onsite property company at Runaway Bay. After may negative run-ins, we decided to do something different this year. We came across Dans information from another "snowbird" friend we know on the island.
We were very pleased with Dans prompt responses to all of our questions (even my wife's picky questions). The Unit we stayed in offered MUCH MORE SPACE that is demonstrated in his pictures. Not only clean (which is most important to me) but my wife fell in love with the vibrant colors and interior decorating in the unit. I mean you can't really beat granite counter tops, crown molding, and of course that comfy reading chair that we fought over most of the trip.
I gladly recommend doing business with Dan in the future, in either of his units. We saw his 2nd unit as well and it was just as nice, if not nicer! We'll be coming back for years to come, and are kicking ourselves we didn't come into contact with Dan earlier.
(My wife just told me not to oversell the units too much, or else they'll be booked up an unavailable for us to enjoy next year, hehe).

A Great Get-Away
"My husband and I spent 10 lovely days in the one-bedroom condo unit. To our surprise, the unit was renovated and updated. The granite counter tops, hardwood floor, tile bathroom, comfortable bed and sofa, and the cleanliness of the unit all contributed to our five-star review.
Runaway Bay has the best pool I have found in my travels; it is pristine and warm. The complex is well-maintained and attractive not to mention quiet. The close proximity of the beach access allowed for many walks on the beach and sunset viewing.
Dan, the owner, was easily reached and available. He made preparation and departure stress-free.
If you like warm, Caribbean-like water and sugar sand beaches, Anna Maria is the place for you. I would highly recommend this condo and island. It's a great deal for the price!"

"This was our 13th year at Runaway Bay on Anna Maria Island and our 4th year in this condo. What keeps us coming back to Runaway Bay? We love it!! It has everything we want. We stay for a couple of months and we are always busy. We are just across the street from the beautiful beach and have tennis on site, golf nearby, excellent restaurants, large heated pool, nearby shopping, etc. After having rented from a realtor for 9 years, it has been a real pleasure to rent from the owner especially this owner. He is continually looking for ways to improve the condo and is very responsive to any suggestions I have made. We are most comfortable in this "home away from home" and look forward to returning in 2015."

Real Bay & Beach Condo
"The good, you are a few yards/blocks, from both the gulf and sarasota bay waters, both are beautiful. The condo is nice, clean, comfortable space for families with small ones or 3- 4 adults. Price is nice, owner is available for questions. Large pool, very warm, nice exercise room, and some grills to use too.
If you need to use your cell phones you will have to go outside, it is kind of a dead zone, maybe the buildings or maybe just being the island. Also, note that internet is available at your own cost: Pink Flamingo for $7.00 per day or $15.00 for the week, we bought the week. No cable was on the televisions. Appears the condo association was in the middle of negotiating with the cable company. We did have basic channels.
The area is down to earth, friendly, nice restaurants. I found it a nice place for budget minded families and travelers.
The gulf waters were perfect, clear, some days we had waves for fun. I missed the rays this year. We did collect a few new shells. All in all it was a relaxing place and great water with perfect views."

Wonderful condo
"We had a great time staying at Runaway Bay. The owner is wonderful to work with. He promptly answered any email that I sent. Our security deposit was returned very quickly. He even had the unit ready for us before the normal check in time. This allowed us to enjoy a wonderful afternoon at the beach. The unit was very clean and well stocked. The location was awesome. Also, a very short walk to the beach and pool. We rent a condo every year in Florida, I can say that this has been by far, one of the best rentals we have stayed in. Would recommend and hope to return soon!!"

"Just returned from our stay on Anna Marie Island. The owner responded to all questions very promptly and everything was handled smoothly. The condo was just as described and clean and well equipped. It was centrally located and near the beach with a lovely pool area and manicured grounds. There was a trolley stop just outside the complex and the bus came about every 20 minutes. The beaches were beautiful and the water was warm and lovely. We enjoyed seeing the dolphins swimming on several occasions. Hopefully we will be able to come back for a longer visit sometime soon. GREAT Condo, AMAZING Location, BEST vacation
"My husband and I came here for our one year anniversary vacation and could not have asked for a more relaxing and stress free getaway. The condo was WAY bigger than we expected and exceptionally clean. Being able to use their towels and chairs when we walked across the street to the beach was great and we took full advantage of the washer and dryer in the unit .The location was fantastic, right in the middle of the island, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the beautiful beach. Also, having the FREE trolley stop outside of Runaway Bay, when we wanted to explore the rest of AMI, was an added plus. We had a fun time going to dinner at the different restaurants that run up and down the island (most of them with great views of the bay or Gulf) and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL sunsets every night. Dan was a pleasure to work with and was spot on with all of his suggestions. Thank you for helping make our anniversary one to remember! We definitly plan on "Running Away" here in the near future."

Excellent place to stay
"My family stayed for a week (last week) four of us. Plenty of room, loved the set up inside and everything we needed was there. The location is great easy walk to pool, beach, and the pier outback. My family thoroughly enjoyed our week there and plan to stay again next year. There is a trolley stop right outside the complex too which we rode to enjoy the sights one day, so much easier than driving a car around an unfamiliar place. I highly recommend the owner is also very accessable if needed. We had no issue but did confirm we arrived and that we had checked out. Great place :)."

A marvelous getaway from the harsh winters of the north
"We began coming to Runaway Bay 10 years ago when a friend who worked for a travel agent got us our first unit. We fell in love with Anna Maria Island. For the first 9 years we went through one of the local realtors and became increasingly dissatisfied with our experience with reference to the condition of the unit, the rental fees, and the response we got when something needed attention. In 2010, we decided that we wanted to come back to Anna Maria and, if possible, Runaway Bay so we consulted VRBO using the computer. That was how we were introduced to this unit. We knew what to expect from the island and the complex- that was what kept us coming back! There was nothing that we wanted that was not available to us. But what came as a surprise was the advantage and pleasure of dealing with the owner (especially this owner!) instead of a realty company. He was so helpful in answering all questions and concerns. The level of communication was excellent and he was very accommodating. He was fair and businesslike but also warm and friendly. We enjoyed the condo very much and look forward to returning in 2012 for a longer stay."

Great location and property
"Runaway Bay is a beautiful condo community--the bay view is gorgeous. The beach is steps away. The condo was clean and well maintained, and the owner was personable and quickly responded to email inquiries. Even the neighbors were friendly! "We booked our vacation at this property online for our 30th wedding anniversary and we were very pleased. The unit was spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything that we needed. The location was fantastic. The pool was large and beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. The property is located was just across the street from the beach and there are stops in front of the condo complex to pick up the free island trolley which provides easy access to the entire island. Some of our favorite places to eat on the island are the Rod and Reel, the Sandbar, the Old Hamburg Schnitzel House, and Mr. Bones.
Additionally, if you have the need for wireless internet services, Pink Flamingo is a good inexpensive option. I work from home and needed to have internet services during our stay. We paid $20 for 30 days of service and I was able to work as usual while on vacation.
We have visited Anna Maria Island for the last 12 years and have stayed at many rental properties. The owner of this property was great with assisting with the rental process and the price is certainly a great value. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend renting this unit to family and friends!

Fantastic stay at Runaway Bey
"If anyone is looking for a great vacation place, Runaway Bay is the perfect spot. We just spent a month in this lovely condo, it had everything that anyone could want or need. The view from the balcony is quaint and peaceful, a beautiful pool and just a hop, skip & a jump to the beach. The area is so neat and clean, quiet and we met so many nice people. The owners are very willing to please and help you out, what more could you ask for. I would highly rate the whole experience."

"My wife and I could not have been more pleased renting this unit. The unit is located away from high trafic areas of the condo complex, and is conviniently located within a short 3 minute walk to the beach (just across Gulf Drive). Take advantage of the free shuttle that takes you along the shore (there is a shuttle stop within a few feet of the condo complex). We'll definitely be renting with these folks next year, thanks!"
