Very nice, but tight quarters.
"The property is clean and nice but the rooms are very small.
We were out exploring most of the days so only there to sleep.
We rented a boat at the nearby marina but didn't try any of the restaurants."

Needs home improvements
"Besides a slight hiccup with checking in due to cleaning not completed by our 4 pm check in - property is in a good location however property needs some home improvements and we suggest in master bedroom a much smaller nightstand it was very hard to get in/out of bathroom."

Nicely Outfitted Townhouse
"My family enjoyed this cute townhouse with all the necessaries. Our host had chairs and loungers on the balconies and veranda. The backside faces west so you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The beds were comfortable including the sofa sleeper that my daughter used. It was handy to have the half bath on the lower level for her. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. I would suggest that the shower faucets need some attention as it was very hard to find the right temperature. Overhead lights on the bedroom ceiling fans would be nice because it was hard to see when packing up at night. There were two snorkel sets in the living room cabinet which helped because our son in law broke a flipper and was able to borrow the set. The location was nice because we could take walks throughout the Duck Key area."

Great Location and Space for 4
"We enjoyed our stay! It was a great location to drive around and see the other Keys. The porches were really lovely, as was the view of the waterway. It was great for 4 people."

Very pleasant area
"Enjoyed our stay in this well appointed, very clean home. Debra was very helpful with some issues we had and is super friendly too!"

Nice place to stay.
"Nice place to stay. Priced right. Easy check in and departure. Easily accessible and within miles of Marathon, Islamirada, and easy drive to Key West. Safe for walking. Villa was basic in its furnishings and showing a bit of age. Only disappointment was not being able to use the pool on the premises. Will definitely use VRBO in the future."

Beautiful Duck Key condo
"Well-appointed 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo in beautiful Hawk's Cay resort. Master bedroom looks out on a pool and Tom's Harbor. We spotted spiny lobster, mangrove snapper, baby ray and baby nurse shark just from the shore. With a fishing license, you can catch lobster and snapper for dinner!"

A comfortable stay with all of the basics...
"The unit has all of the basics. The kitchen has everything you need, the washer and dryer is always a plus, a/c works, and showers work just fine.
The photos do not reflect updated furniture which was nice to enjoy. The 2nd bedroom now has a queen bed in it, not 2 twins. Hopefully helpful information if you have more than one kid and prefer separate beds or a couple who would like a queen.
Overall, the price on this unit is fantastic if you are out and about all day and need a spot to rest your head and get cleaned up. The master bedroom bed probably needs replacing soon, some paint touch ups and deep floor cleaning. However, it's a rental, so everything is abused/overused at some point.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The location is beautiful and the owner is easy to work with."
Nice and Centrally located
"The resort was still under construction from the hurricane while we were there so we didn’t spend much time there. It was our first time to the Keyes so we did Key West one day, and played tourist there. The next day we went snorkeling thru Robbie’s in Ismaralda and loved it! So we went again the following day in Key Largo. Awesome again! It was great to be close to everything in the Keys. The beds were comfortable and very cute. The AC worked great. Laura was very accommodating, helpful, and nice."
Relaxing stay
"The condo was well equipped with everything you could need! The layout was nice and plenty of bathrooms. It was also nice to have laundry to dry wet towels. The host was great about communicating. The resort has a resturant on site which is nice for a meal when you don’t want to drive to marathon. Highly recommend staying here!"
Wonderful location.
"Enjoyed time away visiting with family."
the villa was beautiful and conveniently located.
"The property was beautiful and well maintained."
Fun in the sun
"Great location"
Coronavation
"This home was the perfect place for 10 days during the 4th of July and Corona. It’s part of the resort, however far enough away that you’re not in the masses. Pool close by and marina a short walk. Has the
most beautiful sunsets from the back."
We had a lovely time social distancing
"We didn’t expect the Corona virus when we booked our vacation; however, it was a lovely distraction from everyday life."
Fishing trip!
"We fished out of Robbie’s and the short drive to Hawks Cay was perfect. Unit was just right for the 4 of us, would try to use again on our next trip."
Property was just as advertised
"Duck key is a nice area"
Great stay at a great place
"We had a wonderful time. The place was clean and comfortable and the location is fantastic for exploring the keys or just relaxing at the house. Thanks so much."
nice location
"Nice location. i wish the accommodation included the resort amenities . The weather was bad so we wished we could take advantage of the resort. next time,
"
Hawks Cay Villa VRBO
"The villa was clean and furnished exactly as described. Close to Marathon and everything you may need but quiet. We especially loved relaxing on the terrace and watching the Iguanas!"
Great Location
"Loved the house - very clean and well supplied. Suited us perfectly halfway down the keys so we could explore everywhere!
Really wish we could have used the pool since we were right beside it."
Great location
"Generally well set up. Well equipped kitchen but missing essentials like sugar and oil as found in most rentals we use.
We booked based on the sunset views but these were obstruted by the palm trees directly in front of the balcony which surrounds the pool pump which makes a noise 24 hours a day and can be heard from the bedroom.
That said the location was great. We walked in and out of the resort without being challenged for not having and coveted green band.
Don't swim with dolphins at hawks cay. Much better value going to dolphin research centre 5 mins drive away.
We did eat at the angler and ale on site which was very nice but expensive. There are no shops on site so stock up on milk etc before you arrive!
We would definetly come here again if I'm the area."
perfect setting, great accommodations
"Stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't have asked for a better location (middle of the Keys, so accessible to everything we wanted to do, from Key West to Key Largo), and the townhouse was great. Kitchen was fully stocked with equipment and supplies, there was plenty of room to relax inside and outside, and it was very clean and well furnished. It quickly became "home" and we were sad to leave!"
Family friendly, great location in the middle of the keys
"We really enjoyed the unit in the Villages at Hawks Cay. The unit was very close to the water and had the keys cottage feel. It was well furnished with towels, linens and kitchen equipment. It was also very clean. The only negative comments are to say that some of the furniture is a little worn and we could not get the DVD player or cable tv to work. Overall this was a great place to stay in the keys, especially with little children."
All good
"Comfortable unit within walking distance of the resort. Clean and neat, easy parking. No complaints and no regrets."
great place - great option for mid-keys
"This is a nice condo in a great location with ample amenities, parking, etc. I could see it working for a small family but also worked great for a group of 3 guys on a fishing trip. Easy to deal with owner/cleaners and nice set-up, clean kitchen with paper towels, soap, every little thing you need for a short trip to the beautiful keys.
"
Perfect location !!!
"Townhome very comfortable and clean. Development was well maintained."
Very nice
"Nice community atmosphere."
Wonderful!!
"I would recommend this to anyone. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. We could take a day trip to Key West and come home to this beautiful resort atmosphere. It was very quiet, wonderful neighbors and beautiful backyard with palm trees and water. I would go back in a minute. Any needs were attended to quickly. We loved every minute. The beach 10 minutes away was beautiful with white sandy beach and turquoise waters. Thank you, Laura!!!"
Recommend this place.
"VERY neat clean and spacious for two couples. Well maintained. Great location, accessible to all areas of the Keys. Kitchen well stocked with plenty of dishes, glassware, appliances etc.
Only concern, which we understand was a one time occurrence, was that we went to bed the sheets were still damp. Had to strip all the beds and put the sheets in the dryer, but it was not a big deal.
Washing machine and dryer, but bring your own laundry detergent.
Owner was on vacation out of the country, but got back to me immediately by text when I called regarding the wet sheets. Would definitely recommend this place
"
Key West stay
"Enjoyed our stay in Duck Key."
Good location in the Keys
"It was okay for us. We wanted to have a place accessible to the middle, upper, and lower keys. Duck key was definitely the location we needed."
Perfect Family getaway
"The town home was the perfect place to start and end our days. The location was amazing, sunsets, palm trees and blue water right out the back door.
We loved it"
We had a lovely time social distancing
"We didn’t expect the Corona virus when we booked our vacation; however, it was a lovely distraction from everyday life."
Spectacular in every way
"The condo is spacious, nicely appointed, the views off the balcony is beautiful"
Oh the sunsets!
"We had a great time and the place was perfect for everything we needed. The house was clean and well kept. The kids enjoyed having their on space. The location was excellent and we loved all the options for day trips or just staying on Duck Key."
Very comfortable
"A nice place. Responsive owner. We were very comfortable. Like the two porches. Parking was easy. Five stars. (upgrade on wifi and TVs would get 5+ Stars, but we didn't go to the Keys to watch TV or our devices)"
Relaxing and very nice!
"The resort had not opened when we were at the condo. Therefore it was very quiet and lovely! The condo had a warm and homey feel to it! We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves very much! The weather was exceptional warm but loved all the sunshine we had while there since we were from the gloomy north!! Thank you Laura for sharing your home!!"
It was a perfect location for us since we went were able to go north or south.
"The condo was close to beaches, shops, restaurants and the Dolphin Research center which is one of the spots we wanted to go. Our unit have everything we needed, great decks to sit on while winding down each day, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend it."
Not ready just yet
"The rental is nice... Just not quite ready to be rented after the hurricane just yet. We noticed a missing outlet cover, the TV cable box in one of the bedrooms wasn't activated, a step on the back porch was broken. However the most concerning issue was the roach we had found in the upstairs bathroom... We had only found one, so hopefully it was an isolated incident, but we're still going to have to completely go through our luggage to make sure we don't have any stowaways. The views are lovely, however the whole key is completely shut down due to the main resort being renovated. This place will be great... In about 6-8 months."
Very clean, the layout was perfect for 2 couples. The rear deck facing the water was a big plus.
"Perfect for 2 couples. Lots of room to relax, play cards, prepare meals or read. We spent a lot of time on the rear porch that faced the water. The unit wasn't damaged from Irma, it's fully ready to go."
Very clean and quiet
"We stayed during Christmas week 2017. We booked before Hurricane Irma but kept with our plan despite knowing the Hawks Cay resort would be closed. The condo is in great shape and was very clean with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids (8 & 9). Breakfast on the lanai was awesome! The entire Duck Key was desolate as we were the only occupants in the block of 6 condos, so it was nice and quiet. We were planning on driving into Marathon and Islamorada for activities and eating anyway. The grounds around the condo were repaired and well kept, but the rest of the key was in varying states of repair. Note: we couldn't even look at the Hawks Cay resort grounds due to the less-than-polite security guards.
Laura was great and very responsive. Our only issue was the lack of Wi-Fi due to the resort closure for hurricane repairs. We were glad that we stuck with our plan and would recommend this property."
Great spot, clean. and affordable
"We had a great stay. The pool and the water's edge of Tom's Harbor were feet from our back door. We kept our boat anchored right behind the house where we could see it from the porch. The resort amenities were a 5-10 minute walk away. The property was great and clean. Everyone in the area was very friendly. Thank you Laura! And thanks for ordering up the beautiful weather."
Great Experience
"Great experience staying at this location. Driving south on Highway 1, you'll start to see ocean on both sides before arriving at Duck Key - it's an awesome view. We were a young family of four from Boston and the condo suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen is ideal for nights in. The second bedroom contains two twin beds - ideal for our little ones. A heated pool is a short walk from the back deck. The space is well kept and clean. There are a few kid friendly eating-out options in Hawks Cay and several more in nearby Marathon or Islamorada. The owner was extremely responsive to answering any questions we had leading up to the trip. This was our first visit to the Keys and one that goes to the top our list."
