"The home is fisherman's getaway. We had a good time but found the upper room didn't have a/c which made it uncomfortable for the kids at night because heat rises. And the house only had two window units which ain't bad but they are very dirty. There wasn't a broom to sweep up so we bought one and left it."

We had a lovely time at the beach house!
"We had a lovely time at the beach house! The porch was the chosen hang out. We all gravitated there to watch the water and the wildlife and ate all our meals (with the exception of an exceptional meal at Angelo's) out on the porch. The beds were comfortable, we appreciated the AC, and generally made ourselves at home in the cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed going to Gulf side but we also enjoyed our own little beach access...watching the stingrays, the fiddler crabs, finding whelks, etc. It really was a great weekend!"

"We had a wonderful time! The location and serenity can't be beat. The house is so cozy and tranquil. We the drive to the house. Alligator Point is a beautiful sliver of land. We visited a variety of the beaches, hiked Bald Point State Park and found some cool fishing spots around. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Angelo's and even threw out some lines behind the house. The host was very accommodating and responsive. House was well stocked with odds and ends. Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you. "

"This was one of our family's favorite trips. A perfect spring break getaway. Very relaxing! The house was very clean and comfortable and the location was amazing! Elwood sent us very helpful information prior to the trip and everything went so smoothly! The private beach on the bay was awesome, and the oceanside is just a short walk from the house. Beach with white sand and not crowded!! Great experience and hopefully we'll make it back soon! Thanks for sharing your home with us, Elwood!"

"We enjoyed staying at the house. It had a nice vibe, great peaceful location. Beautiful views from the porch. Saw bald eagles from the porch. Kitchen had everything. Owner friendly and helpful."

"Mr. Elwood was a perfect host, super communication!!! The house and property exceeded my expectations.
Enjoyed cooking in WELL stocked Kitchen and on Gas Grill, there was also a Charcoal Grill available. So much seating to enjoy Spectacular Views, Bird Watching, and enjoy Friends/Family. Will definitely return."

Such a unique and wonderful place!
"Such a unique and wonderful place! The living space is comfortable and we easily cooked most of our meals. We spent most of our time on the little beach and lower porch, my husband fished and our son played in the calm water. We will definitely try to come back!"

The tree house (as I affectionally called it) was precisely what we needed for a vacation (quiet and quirky with beautiful views of the bay).
"The tree house (as I affectionally called it) was precisely what we needed for a vacation (quiet and quirky with beautiful views of the bay). We especially appreciated the cushy seats/swings, breezy porches, and expansive kitchen. It was also pleasurable to be just a short stroll away from the gulf coast and exquisite stargazing. I personally loved the ground floor's cool tiles and cozy porch swing (the perfect place for a cup of tea and book). It felt like a weekend at our favorite grandma's house, and we left refreshed with an abundance of cheerful memories."
