A Marco Island vacation provides a tropical escape in southwest Florida! iTrip Vacations Marco Island manages rentals in Marco Island, Goodland and Isles of Capri.
Situated between Naples and the Florida Everglades, Marco Island is the largest and most developed area in Ten Thousand Islands, a chain of barrier islands off the Gulf coast. Our guests enjoy direct access to beaches and a variety of water-related activities. To start the day, go canoeing, kayaking, shelling, and dolphin and whale-watching. For those into scuba diving, the Artificial Reef Project off Marco Island's coast provides a habitat for over 200 fish species and sea turtles as they migrate from Ten Thousand Islands. Rent equipment to explore on your own, or book a local tour that showcases the area's best spots.
When it's time to venture outdoors, visitors have several public beaches and parks that welcome everyone. Popular spots include South Marco Beach, Keewaydin Island, Tigertail Beach and Cape Romano. In addition, enjoy Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge, Isles of Capri Marina and Marco Island Marina. For a day trip, drive east to the Everglades where visitors can ride airboats and bicycles as well as kayak. Home to thousands of birds – including herons, egrets, burrowing owls, bald eagles, ospreys, pelicans, shorebirds and seabirds – Marco Island is also a bird lover’s paradise.
Want to book a fishing trip? Head to nearby Goodland, a quaint fishing village. This destination serves as a top place for fishing trips and offers a laid-back, local vibe. Several companies host half-day and full-day fishing excursions with inshore and offshore options. Expect to catch king mackerel, tarpon, snook, snapper, pompano, sheepshead and grouper. To learn about the area, plan an eco-tour that pairs shelling, jet skiing and wildlife education with scenic views.
Golfers can select from dozens of golf courses in Marco Island and nearby Naples. As one of the top golfing destinations in Florida, players can choose from waterfront and inland courses with public and private options. For a memorable game, get a tee time at The Island Country Club and Marriott Island Beach Resort. If playing in Naples, try Hammock Bay and Lelay Resort Golf and Country Club.
These activities keep our Marco Island vacation rental guests busy, but they need a break when hunger strikes. Fortunately, Marco Island has over 75 restaurants specializing in everything from hearty breakfast menus to locally caught seafood dishes. Many Marco Island restaurants sit on the water, providing diners picturesque views while trying fresh flavors and many offer complimentary transportation. Otherwise, cab fare costs roughly $6-$8 to or from anywhere on the island.
Shopping also ranks as a must-do activity. Find well-known designers, locally-owned shops and quaint boutiques scattered throughout the island. Top spots include Esplanade Shoppes at Marco Island, Marco Town Center Mall, Marco Walk Plaza and Shops of Marco. Naples also has several shopping centers, including Naples Outlet Center and Third Street South.
Those who book a Marco Island vacation rental can also immerse themselves in art and culture. Start at Marco Island Historical Museum, which highlights the island's history including its first known inhabitants, the Calusa Indians, early pioneer life and the island's transformation into the destination it is today. Marco Island Center for the Arts hosts musical performances, art exhibits and classes.
For more culture and to meet locals, attend an annual event or local festival. From international boat shows to seafood and music festivals, it's easy to celebrate island living. Attend Marco Island Boat Show, Marco Island Seafood and Music Festival and Island Style Boat Parade, to name a few.

Beautiful home and great location
"We loved the home ! It was clean , well appointed and family friendly with functional layout . The pool and hot tub were used daily . It's within short walking distance to a great park , our kids loved the basketball court and the Wednesday farmers market . We rented a golf cart for a quick ride to beach which would be a hike but is walkable . There are three adult bikes available which we enjoyed . The only complaint if any is there is only one tv in the master bedroom , the three other bedrooms did not have one . Not a huge deal but worth noting. We shared the house with another family and had one of the queen bedrooms . My husband and I enjoy a little tv at night but we couldn't since kids took over living room . The management company was great and allowed us an early check in and offered a great welcome basket . We will stay again !"
"We had a wonderful time. The home exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful."
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so glad you found the home to your liking and enjoyed your time in it. Please visit again!
"We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. The house was located close to shopping, restaurants and etc. the only problem we had was that both air mattress they had in the closets both had holes in them. But other than that we have a great experience! Mark communicated great with us when we needed help and got back to us quickly. I loved the fact that they had things for us in the garage for the beach and bicycles. I would highly recommend this home to anyone with a big family/group. It was very spacious in this house."
Thank you for that wonderful review, Sandy! It is a wonderful and unique home given that the majority of homes on Marco Island are 3BD/2BA. Glad you enjoyed the use of the beach gear and bikes. As for the air mattresses, those must have been left by previous guests and are not something we supply (or check) as part of the rental. For any future guests looking to book this home, there are beds to sleep 10 which is our max occupancy for this home. We appreciate you bringing the air mattresses to our attention and hope you book again with us!!!
Mostly positive with some cons
"Overall a positive experience. The house is very nice, comfortable and clean, not far from the beach, shopping, and dining. The first day of our week-long stay I had to call Mark about an issue with the pool and it was promptly resolved the next day, which was great. I have to mention two things which I feel could be improved upon. For such a large house there are only 2 TV's, one in the living room and one in the master suite. We had four teenagers in our group and there was some negotiating and jostling for the TV's at night and on rainy afternoons, which sadly we had a few of. Also, guests are expected to do at least one load of laundry (towels/bedsheets) before check-out at 10:00 AM in order to expedite the cleaning process. There are signs posted throughout the house to not leave more than 2 loads of laundry for the cleaners, or else they charge $25 for each extra load. The owner charges $300 cleaning fee, so I find it unreasonable to ask the guest to do laundry. Furthermore, this information should be made available upfront to all potential guests but it is not listed anywhere on the VRBO site, which we used to do the booking."
Thank you for your review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay and the house! Regarding the checkout procedures/laundry instructions, they can be found in the rental agreement you signed on the Guest portal prior to booking this home. They read as follows: "Do not leave more than 2 loads of laundry for the cleaners. Given the short amount time the cleaners have to prepare the home for the next guests, you will be charged $25 for each extra load." Given the short time between checkout and checkin and to keep from increasing the amount of the cleaning fee, we ask guests at all of our homes and condos to help the cleaners by getting started on the laundry. This allows the cleaners to focus on making sure the rest of the home is cleaned and ready for you/the next guest.
"The home is located in a nice section of the island and close to all the attractions Marco has to offer. The rental manager communicated well with instructions on how to enter the home and followed up with an email during the stay. The home was clean and ready for our stay. We did find all the trashcans overflowing of trash in the garage and the garage was filled with a bad odor from never being emptied and the hot summer temps. While we enjoyed our stay and plenty of family memories were made, the photos of the home should be updated to reflect it's current state for the price of the rental and the way previous renters have treated the property."
Thank you for your review, Earl. We apologize about the trash and anyone reading this review who decides to book must remember it is the guests' responsibility to take the trash and recycling to the curb during their stay. We provide ample reminders: in the checkin email, Guest Book, the post-checkin email and on the fridge. As for the house, I think the value you received versus the price you paid was phenomenal. There are very few (if any) 4BD/4.5BA, pet-friendly homes on Marco and it sleeps 8 people comfortably at half the nightly rate of one room at the JW Marriott. We have spoken to the owner and they are committed to the upkeep of the property. As a matter of fact, in just the last two weeks, we replaced all of the barstools, had the couch cleaned and a brand new dryer installed! We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and thank you again for your feedback!
