The perfect get away
"This house and the owner are excellent. The house was super clean and well organized. The house is fully stock. Very spacious house. The location is perfect. It's close to everything but still you have your privacy. The beach is just around the corner. Also the pool area has everything you need and the pool temperature it's always perfect. The owner received us at house and made us feel welcome. We love it!"

Everything you want in a near to the beach house rental
"This property is a stunner and so well looked after by Olaf and Marissa. They met us at the door at arrival to familiarize us with the house and give us the keys. They are always available and live nearby. The house was very clean and well-appointed. We also made good use of the pool when the beach was too windy; perfect mix of sun and shade. We hope to return to this property next year!"

Areca Cove ... home away from home!
"Areca Cove was an awesome place to spend two weeks! The pictures accurately represent the property listing plus more. The beach is a short walk across the busy main road on Anna Maria Island, but there is a signed crosswalk that stops traffic making it an easy walk to multiple public beach options. Manatee beach is a short walk to access to a great souvenir shop, an ice cream shop (yum!), food and beverage choices, and daily live music - which we enjoyed often. Anna Maria Island has a trolley - and the pick-up spot is very close to this home. The free (really its free) trolley can take you to the North (beach, shops, restaurants) and South (beach, etc.) ends of the island as well as has multiple stops including Bridge Street where there are a number of unique shops, places to eat, and the marina. So much to do and see! In addition, it is a short walk to a grocery store. Loved coming back from the beach to rinse off in the heated outside shower before jumping into the heated pool to enjoy the afternoon sun. Lastly, I can't say enough about this property owner; he was responsive and informative regarding the property as well as recommendations for Anna Maria Island. Typically, we prefer to try other locations but have booked a return trip to this property in 2024."

From the moment we got there, Marisa and Olaf were available and responsive to anything that came up, including hurricane Ian! They were definitely looking out for our safety and well being. Best VRBO experience ever
"This was by far the best rental property I've ever stayed in. The home was immaculate, well-maintained, and the communication with the owners was incredible. They were responsive to questions and needs and were wonderful to work with. We had plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids/teens. My only suggestion would be to add some hooks on the back of the bathroom door in second floor master to help with hanging bathroom towels. Honestly, the home could not have been better. I can't wait to rent again!"

Loved our stay
"The house was amazing! Very well taken care of, clean and comfortable. The owner met us for check in and was very helpful. At one point the grill required more gas, and he was incredibly quick at getting this replaced. Right near trolley stop and 5 minute walk to the beach. Perfect!"

"We had a great time at Areca Cove. There were originally 6 in our group but the grandparents dropped out last minute for health reasons. The house was big enough for all 6 of us. All linens were provided as well as beach gear. This was much appreciated as we flew in from NC. The house was clean, well-stocked and perfectly located. Thanks for a great stay!"

Areca Cove
"Areca Cove is a beautiful property situated in the heart of Holmes Beach. The location makes it easy to walk to many restaurants and shops and the walk to the beach is 4 minutes. The trolley stop is also very close. We were a party of eight friends and we only needed one car the entire week. The house is well equipped and Olaf, the owner, was very kind and always available if we had questions. I highly recommend Areca Cove. In fact, we will be returning next year."

"The house was clean which I'm picky about, and the location is great. It's a quick easy walk to the beach, even with kids. Nice quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants and the grocery store. Olaf was a great host, very helpful and always responded quickly to any question. The pool was warm enough to swim in even though it was in the 60's outside while we were there."

A tropical oasis
"This property was exactly as described and even more! As soon as we walked in we noticed that a lot of attention was paid to cleanliness. There was a lot of room for our party of 6 to spread out. The pool in back was one of our favorite places to go after the beach. The walk to the beach was very short and the beach wasn't crowded at all. They had all sorts of beach toys, floats, chairs, coolers. The owners were there to meet us and stayed in contact with us the whole week- felt like we could contact them if needed. We highly recommend this lovely house!"

Excellent Stay in Areca Cove
"Two small families came down and stayed for 7 nights. We absolutely loved the property. It was probably one of the cleanest ones I have ever stayed in. The kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and beach supplies. The pool area and back yard was very nice and relaxing. Just a short walk, maybe 4 mintutes, to the beach. Last but not least, the owners were very personable and quick to reply to any questions we had. Can't wait to stay here again!"

"Well appointed, very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the beach carts for easily transporting our gear the 3 short blocks to the beach. Loved the location - walkable to several shops and restaurants, and the trolly stop was less than a block from the house. It was perfect for teens to have a little bit of freedom. Fun was had by all!
"We had a great time on Anna Maria island. This home was very well equipped and had enough space for our family of 8 inside. The only downfall was that very little sunshine could get to the deck or pool area, for us that was a problem. We rented bikes, and walked on the beach for sunshine and that worked. Olaf was wonderful to work with and overall this was a great space. Thanks to Olaf and Marissa for having us!"

Wonderful Property
"Areca Cove was a wonderful home in a great location. We stayed for the entire month of February 2021. It was a quick jaunt up to the Northern end and an easy-off to Bradenton or Sarasota. Olaf and Marissa were so quick to resolve any issue or answer any question. The rooms were large and comfortable, all the appliances worked, the beach was close and the pool was warm! What more can we ask!"

Wonderful 2 week stay
"Our family really enjoyed our 2 week stay on Anna Maria Island! This house was as described and the reviews were accurate. The property managers are terrific! They were always responsive & helpful and the checkin process could not have been easier. We appreciate all they did for us. The house is in a great location! It's in the middle of the island so easy to access everything by bike or golf cart without encountering much traffic. Close to Publix (I think it's the only grocery store on the island) and CVS and walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. It's a short walk to the beach too. The beach is gorgeous! White sand, wide beach, blue/turquoise water, not crowded at all even during the busy holiday week between Christmas & New Years. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the gulf every night. The house was very clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the beach stuff and pool toys. The WiFi and Spectrum cable TV worked great. The beds were comfortable. Everything worked well. A few things to be aware of . . . The bedrooms have blinds/curtains but they are not room darkening ones so we were up with the sun every day. It sounded like the shower water from the upstairs front bathroom was running down the wall of the master bedroom. This was an annoyance for us parents with a teenager who likes to shower after midnight. The dining & living room furniture was not as comfortable as we would have liked and bigger TVs would have been nice. The pool area got very little sun the last 2 weeks of December. There is one main road to head north on AMI that needs to be crossed to get to the beach. There was a constant stream of cars both ways while we were there. Locals were very nice and stopped to let us cross so it was not an issue. Our teenagers were fine crossing the street but I wouldn't have been comfortable letting my kids cross on their own if they were younger."

Amazing family Christmas vacation.
"We have stayed at Areca Cove several years straight, and plan to stay again next year. We had 6 family members this year and the house is spacious and has unique furnishings. Olaf & Marissa were absolutely great. He met us upon arrival as always, and was friendly and informative. This property has everything you would expect to find and even more. The house is also the cleanest property I have ever stayed at, and believe me, being a cleaning and maintenance manager for 30 years, it takes a lot to impress me. Swimming pool, balconies with comfy furniture, and family is all you need to experience the best vacation ever. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed."

"We were a group of two grandparents, four 30 somethings and a 2 and 4 year old. The house is large and was sparkling clean. Many kitchen amenities and plenty of room to cook. Many different areas to sit and relax. Short walk to the beach and many chairs, two beach carts and lots of beach toys. Beautiful sunsets. Trolley stop one minute walk away. Olaf was very friendly and easy to communicate with at all times. Beds very comfortable. I would highly recommend this vacation home!"

Just the BEST!
"The property was great. The house had everything we needed even pool and beach toys, towels, chairs and umbrellas. The house was very clean and well maintained. Pool was great! Our grandchildren and their parents just loved it.
The property managers, Olaf and Marissa, were great. Very helpful and when we did have questions or minor issues, they responded very quickly. Were also quick to return out deposit. I hope we get to go back again because we really loved the area, beautiful calm beach.

Amazing stay at Areca Cove
"We stayed here for a week with two families (4 adults and 4 children) this house exceeded our expectations. Upon check in, we noticed the house was super clean and extremely well appointed. The house huge and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is a four minute walk to the beach and four minute drive to Publix! The house is close to everything. Olaf and Marissa are extremely professionally and friendly hosts. Areca Cove is a beautiful property that has it all."

"We have rented vacation homes for 30+ years and I honestly can say this was the cleanest home we have ever stayed in. The layout was fantastic for our group of 7 which included us and our 4 grown children. Kitchen had an abundance of silverware, dishware etc. Beds were all super comfy. The pool area was fantastic, will probably never rent again without a pool. Beach location was incredible (and private) - literally a few minute walk. If I had to search for a negative, it would probably be a shortage of bath towels for a party of 7 but so what, we had to wash towels 2 or 3 times in a week. TV in downstairs master is too small, but we didn't turn a TV on all week. Great place, hoping all future rentals can be this good."

Wonderful house and location
"We had such a wonderful week at Areca Cove! The house was completely stocked and super clean. It was bright and sunny. The location was minutes from the beach (which was absolutely lovely). The grocery store, drug store, and beach shops were a leisurely walk away. The homeowner responded quickly to any questions we had. I would recommend Areca Cove to anyone wanting to experience beautiful Anna Maria Island!
