Unclean Three star motel at resort prices
"We have been coming to the gulf coast from Marco to Venice for 20 years. This house is in a Quiet, safe 1950's neighborhood two blocks from 41 with responsive management.
We were happy to be within driving distance of many things we love, Beach, Venice Jetty, Audubon Bird Rookery.
The house has some updates but still smells like old cigarette smoke. The garage is too small to fit anything but a subcompact car. The bathroom floors look like they haven't been cleaned or updated. I had to empty bathroom trash and clean bathroom floors from previous tenants which is disgusting. Kitchen cupboards are dirty with dirty shelf liners and almost everything provided is flea market/ budget quality. We stayed at a resort on Saint Simons for less per night than this property. Overpriced for what is provided. I have never entered a negative review before this but we won't be back."

Holiday Getaway in Venice
"We enjoyed our 3 week stay at Palm Villa in this quiet neighborhood. The nice decor throughout the home displayed the home identifying name with palm tree/coastal decor. We had a couple of minor initial issues (problem with keyless entry) that were taken care of in a timely fashion. The interior of the home was welcoming and very clean. It was nice to have a screened patio for us, and fenced in yard for our dog. However, I would suggest cleaning the patio chair cushions and floor."

Everything we needed!
"We had a wonderful stay and felt like home being there 16 days. All the comforts of home in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. We had to extend our original stay and was promptly responded and met our needs. I would recommend our place to any family member or friend!"

Great property!
"The house was perfect for me and my husband. The owners left a binder of information including menu's, and local sights. It is a pet friendly property and they even had a section for pets! Everything was at the house you could need (beach chairs, towels, shovels, sifters umbrella etc.) pans, games, books. Seriously, they thought of everything. Easy to get to beaches and to town."

Dog friendly
"The check in process was easy . The owners provided many amenities ( soap , paper products , robe/slippers , snacks, beach chairs etc) we appreciated finding a place to bring our 2 dogs for the month . We met several of the neighbors who were very nice ! Would recommend to people looking for a long term rental with large dogs ."

"Our stay from 1-1 thru 1-8 at this property exceeded our expectations. It is pet friendly rental and was remarkably clean. This property was a great fit for us as we have pets and the yard is fenced in completely. The kitchen is well equipped and appliances are new. As with Covid we cooked in many evenings and enjoyed the dining area on screened porch. The neighborhood is safe and residents are friendly. I will stay at this property in the future.

"Ideal 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with yard for Harley our Wheaten Terrier. Just ten minutes and we were down at E Venice Ave at the shops & restaurants."

"Great little bungalow in a quiet, tropical, lovely neighbourhood. Everything was as described, appreciated the snacks, water, robes and slippers! Venice area beaches are beautiful, including the dog beach, friendly people and great restaurants. We’ll be back!"

Excellent Accommodations!
"This was an adorable home very well-kept with lots of extras! We had a family of six that was easily accommodated. We loved the close proximity to Manasota Beach and the shark tooth festival! Ms. Ruth was amazing to work with … She knew we were arriving late so stopped by and had the lights on for us! She was quick to answer questions via email or text! We definitely will be back again and would highly recommend this VRBO!!"

"What beautiful place Venice is and what a relaxing place Ruth’s home is to return to each day! All our needs were provided for and our dogs felt right at home enjoying the backyard. Lovely Stay at Palm Villa
"After the long trip from PA, it was so inviting and relaxing to walk into Palm Villa. Everything is exactly as pictured online and Ruth has so many small touches that are very thoughtful.
This is a well maintained and beautifully kept property and really makes staying there enjoyable. A favorite spot was the screened lanai where we ate most meals and where our dog, Sadie, was mesmerized by the squirrels who came to the tree in the backyard. The nice gas grill came in handy for making a lot of meals.
The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors friendly. We enjoyed walking the dog and riding our bikes there. It's very close to the beaches, Venetian Waterway / bike trail, a nice dog park, restaurants and nice shopping and a great Farmer's Market in downtown Venice.
Ruth and Dan were great hosts and personally came over to address a small issue in the house. We were so delighted, we've already booked with them again for next year. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

Retirement Condo Hunters
"Our stay at Palm Villa was like a little bit of Paradise. So clean and comfortable and pleasing to come back to after a hard day at condo hunting. We loved it there. The owners have thought of everything, even beach towels, chairs, sharks teeth sifter and the pass to the ferry that goes to a private beach! Which was so much fun! Bikes for biking the neighborhood, which was quiet. Listening to the birds in the morning while sipping coffee and planning the day was so inviting. We had so much fun!! Everything is so clean and immaculate and inviting! You will love your stay at Palm Villa!! Cant say enough great things about it!! Oh did I mention pet friendly also.."

Great vacation!
"Palm Villa was immaculate, just the right size for us, and the owners were accommodating and lovely people. If I ever go back to Venice, I will stay there again! They provided us with the cleanest linens, snacks, water, and even doggie treats. I can't say enough positive things about our stay. You won't be sorry!"

Well maintained comfortable home
"We spent 4 months here waiting for our new home to be completed. Home was clean. Sufficient storage. TV was great. We had dogs and the backyard was fenced, but sparse grass. Owners were very attentive and helpful with all of our needs. And they helped us find another home when ours was ready on time."

Very clean!
"Very clean home that is close to everything. If you want to walk out the door on to a beach this is not the place for you. Although I prefer the scenario I just listed, my husband and teenage son didn't care and honestly...it wasn't a big deal driving. The house is on a quiet street, has everything you need inside with a comfy bed, bikes to ride, chairs, umbrella, shark tooth gadget and our favorite - the Ferry pass to go to Manasota Key private beach! Less than 10 minutes away the YMCA was a big hit with my basketball player. Everyone, I tell you - everyone is SO friendly. We will return and rent this house or their other place that is located on the Gulf side of 41 - Ruth was helpful and professional. Hopefully next time we can bring our furry children."

Excellent experience
"We stayed for just under a month while we looked for a permanent resident was an excellent experience anything you could imagine was included in the house and it was very dog friendly and child friendly."

"It was adequate. We have 2 small dogs, so we needed to find a rental allowing pets. Rugs everywhere were kind of dirty. Area rug in living room was dirty, and furniture was slightly stained and had an odor. My suggestions would be to wash small rugs in bathroom after every renter leaves, replace area rug, or leave floor bare, and get furniture made of faux leather that is easy to keep clean. Neihborhood was very quiet.

"Ms.Ruth is excellant at communication during the booking process as well as after. When we got there the house was white glove clean! There was a manual with information on the house as well as local things to do. Very helpful! We actually booked a Kayak and Parasail trip off the information she provided. The yard and fence were perfect for our dogs, who also enjoyed the trip. If we do this trip again. I will definatly work with Ms.Ruth again and try to book the same unit."

"House was comfortable and cozy. Beds were great. It's an older home but nicely appointed. Worked well for two--would be a little tight for 3 or 4 if you were planning to spend a lot of time in the house. Great screened porch. And the dog loved the big, securely fenced yard. Very quiet neighborhood in Venice. Ruth was great and very accommodating!"
Venice Vacation
"The location of the home was excellent for the dog park and beach. Our dog spent every morning at the dog beach and she loved it. The fenced in back yard was great for having a dog and it was very private with trees in the back and one side of the yard. Ruth was very helpful in sharing information about the area both prior to our arrival and she also had a very helpful guide book at the house for further information of things to do while in Venice. Being able to park your vehicle in the garage was really nice. Venice is a beautiful town and we enjoyed our time exploring the area. We hope to come back again someday."

"I can tell you I miss Palm Villa already. Our stay was perfect! Ruth is a pleasure to work with. She is prompt, professional, and friendly, The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are very nice. It is a very dog friendly area too. It was great to have a nice lanai to enjoy our morning coffee and a fenced yard for our fur babies. . Ruth stocks the home with all of the things you need to start off your vacation. There is a nice basket with goodies for us and the pups. This is the fourth time we've stayed in one of the Sandpiper properties and we will be back again."

Loved Everything about our stay!
"Even though we had to contend with some bad weather from Storm Alberto, we had a great time at Ruth's beautiful home Palm Villa. The home was spotless and had great touches like bath robes and slipper for our use. Also a small bracket of welcome treats for our stay. When the Sharks tooth sifter was found broken one afternoon, we mentioned it and a New one was at our door That Same Evening! We were looking forward to returning to the house each evening after a long day at the beach or sightseeing. The beds we very comfortable with crisp Egyptian sheets and extra pillows. The pass to use the Venice Ferry was a Great and we wished we'd used it more! The private beach was Breathtaking and we found Lots of sharks teeth and it was great that there were so few people there. Overall I can't say enough Good things obout not only this property but the person who stands behind it!"

Perfect Vacation Villa for Two Couples
"We had a very relaxing stay at this nicely decorated, well maintained and quiet
house. With two bedrooms and baths on opposite ends of the house made it a perfect place to stay. The owner made sure we had everything we needed except
for groceries. It is located close to beaches, nice restaurants and plenty of shopping (we love Bealls). We would highly recommend.

Great Home - especially with dogs
"This was a wonderful place to stay - especially with dogs! The home was extremely comfortable for the two of us as well as our daughter and two small children at the beginning of the stay. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood with very nice neighbors and lots of streets for dog walking.
The dog beach is only about a 10 minute drive from the house as well as three people beaches with no more than a 10 minute drive. The house comes with a ferry pass to a very quiet beach which we used on ocaission as well. The house was clean, well stocked with nice linens and towels and a well stocked kitchen. We had a couple of minor issues at the beginning of our stay and the owner responded immediately. I would definitely recommned this property, dogs or not!"
