Cozy and inviting
"This home was perfect for our family vacation! The fenced back yard was perfect for our furry baby, she absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back to stay again!"

Great little house!
"We're repeat guests of this little gem. Very comfortable space. Nicely equipped kitchen. We love relaxing on the back patio with our coffee in the morning catching those first rays of Florida sunshine. So close to all that Gulfport has to offer. We leave our car in the driveway and walk everywhere when we're here. Love this town."

Lazy days of summer
"Gulfport in the summertime is a laidback place. Really enjoyed our stay. The Gulf of Mexico was so warm it felt like we were taking the waters at a spa! The house was great. Thanks!"

Fantastic!
"Two Waves Cottage was perfect for our stay in Gulfport. Like most of the original houses in the area, it is small, but Graham and Sandi have done a wonderful job of maximizing space. The kitchen was remarkably well equipped. We had everything we needed and then some. We particularly loved the yard and patio, and I’m pretty sure our lab misses it. Most everything you’d want to do is an easy walk or drive from the cottage. We look forward to returning!"

Lovely confortable space, convenient, nice outdoor space, excellent value!
"Sandi and Graham have provided a well-appointed yet traditional Gulfport cottage a short walk or drive from the waterfront and the artist community's downtown main street with its cute shops and restaurants. The cottage is cozy yet provides plenty of space. Nice appliances and places to sit and eat. New modern step-in spa shower with a window on to the private tropical backyard. The shed nearby offers extra storage for luggage, plus two bikes and a grill. We stayed here for a month while relocating here for work, and were able to "live" and work here while enjoying all Gulfport and the area has to over. Food recommendations: Backfin Blue cafe or Isabelle's. Beaches: Treasure Island / Sunset. Mostly undiscovered. Park in the public lot next to Caddy's and have the beach to yourself! Check out John's Pass boardwalk and shops - great for families with views of wildlife (porpoises and birds) in the channel. Enjoy!"

Cute, cozy, cottage
"Two Waves Cottage is just a few blocks from downtown Gulfport. The kitchen is well equipped, wifi works well, washer and dryer are convenient, and there is a wonderful fenced backyard. Most importantly, the cottage feels like Gulfport: eclectic, inviting, cozy. Highly recommended!!!!!"

Adorable cottage
"The cottage was perfect and was in walking distance to Gulfport beach and several shops and restaurants. The whole area is lovely and the people are super friendly! The yard was perfect for my two large dogs who kept very busy chasing lizards out back. I was even lucky enough to get to see boat races in the bay during my stay. It was perfect!"

Nice house with everything you need!
"We really enjoyed Two Waves. The house was clean and had everything you could ever need. The location was convenient to the heart of Gulfport. It was a perfect place for three kids and a dog. I hope we will be back."

I would definitely recommend Two Waves Cottage!
"My wife and I stayed here along with my brother in law and sister -- and our dogs. We found the accomodations very comfortable with an up to date kitchen and plentiful kitchenware --also a very nice fenced yard for the pets. The location was central to everything and there was lots to do both locally and in St. Pete's. The owners were very prompt with any concerns we had and very nice to deal with. We would definitely choose this cottage again! Alex and Joyce (Toronto)."

Great little getaway in Gulfport
"We stayed at two waves for 3 weeks over Christmas and New Years. Our main reason for selecting this home were a fenced yard and pet friendly for our two dogs, a grill, location and comfortable beds (based on other reviews). The yard was great, and the dogs loved it; the charcoal grill needed a new grate; the location was good although it is on a busy street with a lot of traffic and noisy busses; and the bed was very comfortable! The couches in the living room, however, were not very comfy. Although there was plenty of seating. There is free wifi and a TV with limited channels. This was an issue for my husband as he wanted to watch several football games and had to go down to a local bar to watch!! The kitchen is great - tiny but fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of plates, glasses, silverware. There is no garbage disposal which I don't think the listing mentions. There is a washer and dryer too, beach chairs and bicycles. Neighbors are quiet and very nice (we met both sides). And there is a nice park across the street to walk the dogs (Wood Ibis Park). The house was clean and there were plenty of towels available. Great shower! There are some really nice restaurants within walking distance, and most are pet friendly with outside seating. We especially enjoyed Stella's and Tangelos. O'Maddy's had good food, a nice beer selection and tv's for football! We never did meet the person who was to check us in and out, but we texted and talked on the phone. The communication with the owner could have been better - not a standard VRBO way to pay. I wasn't sure my payments had gone through correctly! We did not hear from the owners at all during our stay. We would certainly consider staying at two waves again in the future."

Great place to stay
"Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Gulfport. Minutes away from just about everything Florida has to offer. Very nice, clean and quiet house! You won't regret it."

felt like a beach cottage should - easy and fun
"The cottage was clean, and laid out nicely. The kitchen well stocked with the necessities. While the cottage is on 58th Street, a main thoroughfare, there was very little traffic noise--indeed it was surprisingly quite. It was an easy walk to downtown...the beach and restaurants. The owner was easy to deal with, even when I needed an extra day on short notice."

Loved our visit!
"There was so much great about this property. Plenty of space and storage, comfortable furniture and beds, great bathroom with taller toilet and a large shower with a great teak stool. Washer and dryer was an added plus. Great use of all the storage cabinets and drawers including under the oven. Just look and you will find. Wonderful fenced in yard and great outdoor furniture. Very safe area that we were able to go on our bicycles, that we brought, everyday. We stored the bikes in the shed. The manager of the property was very prompt in helping our needs. I would highly recommend this property."

Cute place in great location
"Really cute place. Plenty big for 4. Well appointed and equipped. Local contact was very helpful. Fenced yard served our dog very well. We would definitely stay in this location and will this owner again."

Great little place!
"Stayed here for two weeks with two young children (4yr and 2yr). Fully enclosed garden was great for the kids to run around. Accomodation was good size, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Location was good, being a short walk to the main street/beach etc. St Pete Beach is also close, approx 5-10min drive. Overall a great little place, in a nice neighbourhood. Would stay again, and recommend to anyone."

Perfect weekend getaway
"We really enjoyed our stay at Two Waves Cottage! Four adults, travelling with a two-months infant, we were glad to see that everything in and out of the house was exactly as we were told. House was very comfortable, clean and nicely kept. With a beachy and cozy decor, we felt at home right away. Arrangements for arrival and departure were easily made and we were provided with thoughtful details, instructions and recommendations to go around the house and Gulfport. Though we didn't need any special assistance, Jannessa was helpful and we knew we could reach her if that was required. We found the little beachfront city to be as charming and slow paced as we were hoping for.It was a short vacation, but we surely enjoyed the time spent over there! Thanks Sandy & Graham and for you hospitality."

Enjoy the sun & ocean waves at Two Waves!
"My wife and I stayed at Two Waves for just under a week. We really enjoyed the town of Gulfport. Many of the smaller homes in this little community were built in the 20's, 30's and 40's giving it a very quaint feeling. The downtown area where most of the businesses are is on Beach Blvd. and is surrounded by an 'arts district'. Great restaurants, art galleries, curio shops etc. and on Tuesdays an open air farmers market with local produce but also specialty food items that you shouldn't miss. And at a place on the ocean called the casino (its not a casino) there is dancing. Two Waves cottage is about 5 or 6 blocks from the beach and only 3 or 4 from Gulfport's Beach Blvd. An easy walk or an even easier bike ride. Going in the opposite direction one is headed toward the city of St. Pete. It's only a very short distance to all the shopping centers and stores like Bealls and Walgreens that you might need for swim wear, supplies or groceries & wines. The cottage is delightful, airy, open and so cute. It is very clean and well kept. The neighborhood felt safe and neighboring homes were in good shape. A nice area to walk or bicycle around to look at the myriad of colorful homes and yards. The owners have done a wonderful job of decorating and renovating this house into a pleasant vacation home. The living room has two (or is it three?) sofas with plenty of room for 4-6 people to sit comfortably around the coffee table. The kitchen is outfitted with good appliances and enough counter space to really cook up a meal. There is a separate dining area off the kitchen with a door that leads out to a great patio with comfortable patio furniture and an umbrella. There's a nice little garden to look at surrounding the sitting area. We saw numerous little lizards sunning themselves while we sat out drinking our morning coffee, reading the newspaper and reviewing our emails. Both bedrooms are of good size and have very comfortable beds. And while there is no tub in the bathroom the shower is great with good pressure and very clean and inviting. Neither I nor my wife have any complaints. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts Sandi and Graham are easy to work with and made our visit very relaxing and comfortable. We'll be back. You can count on that. :-) Thanks guys!"

What a great cottage!
"We had a great visit to Florida at Two Waves Cottage. The town of Gulfport is a beautiful spot, very different from the previous experiences I have had in Florida. We all know about the great weather in Florida, but other places I have visited have been quite commercialized and uninspiring. Gulfport is a friendly artsy little town with that Old Florida feel, nestled into the shore of Boca Ciega Bay. We were able to walk everywhere, down to the Casino to join in on Swing dancing night, down to the local beach, and to a number of excellent pubs and restaurants. Really enjoyed Artwalk. What a treat! The cottage itself was colourful, clean, and bright, a little gem of a house. We loved all the little special touches. Like the town itself, the cottage had that Old Florida feel, but with all the amenities we could ask for. Loved the design and the layout. The kitchen was well equipped, very comfy couches in the living room, and comfy beds too. And such a lovely spot to sit and greet the morning sun out back as it came up over the Spanish moss on the trees in the distance. We heard that you can go kayaking in Clam Bayou, and we're hoping to come back soon to give that a go. Thanks for a great vacation! We'll be back!"

Fun in Gulfport
"We found this cottage to be perfectly located for the exploring we did in Florida. It's just a few minutes in to St. Petersburg, where we visited the Dali Museum, Sunken Gardens, the Yacht Club, and a number of galleries, then shopped the antique strip. We visited St. Pete Beach and enjoyed the shopping on Corey Avenue and the spectacular beaches. And we enjoyed exploring Gulfport itself. Really good food along Beach Boulevard and we went dancing at the Gulfport Casino on the beach. We found the cottage to be charming and well appointed with plenty of space to relax after our busy days out. We really appreciated the welcome book with information about the area. We had an excellent vacation and would not hesitate to recommend this property."

Foodie's delight
"We stayed at Two Waves Cottage for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. We are foodies and were tempted by what we had heard about some of the restaurants in town. We alternated between eating out and preparing our own home-cooked meals and it was a gastronomical treat! We bought fresh food at the Tuesday market and cooked up a storm in the well stocked kitchen. They even had a slow cooker! The restaurants proved to be excellent. In particular, Pia's, Peg's, and the Peninsula Inn were outstanding. When we were not sampling cuisine, we enjoyed hanging out on the cottage's very comfortable back patio and visiting the local beaches. We also went antiquing in downtown St. Petersburg. What a wonderful neighborhood and delightful cottage! We hope to be back soon. Highly recommended."

Charming home
"My husband and I with our dog enjoyed our stay at your home. It's a very charming home with lots of space in the backyard for the dog to run around. The home was very clean and we could find all the appliances we could possibly need. We both loved all the cute touches you have through the whole house and those beach chairs came in very handy on those hot beach days. The house is located in a central area close to the highways and beaches. The property manager was also very nice and made us feel very welcomed and at home. If ever we stay in that area again we would definitely stay at this home again."

Return to Two Waves
"My second visit to Two Waves Cottage was just as lovely as the first. There were some nice upgrades since our first visit. The bathroom has been renovated and there's new furniture in the living room. But it hasn't lost its old Florida charm. It's a very comfortable place to stay. The kitchen is bright and cheerful, and has all the utensils I could possibly need. And of course the neighbourhood is just wonderful. With the warm May weather, I particularly enjoyed the back patio and the local beach. I also went on a dolphin watching boat tour, which was amazing! It was a great week, very relaxing. I'll be back again next year."

Great Vacation Home
"We had a wonderful stay at Two Waves Cottage in Gulfport, FL. The location was perfect because it was so close to everything we wanted to see while visiting the Tampa Bay area. The access to two bicycles was great and got lots of use during our visit. Gulfport is a great town for biking and walking to the beach, pier, restaurants, and morning coffee. Our dogs just loved the fenced backyard. The cottage was a great size and met our needs completely. It is a great price for all you get including a kitchen, washer/dryer, two bedrooms, and the fenced yard. No hotel could really compete with the atmosphere and amenities offered at Two Waves Cottage. Sandi and Graham provide an excellent book containing important information such as internet password access, local maps, and general helpful information about the cottage that made the stay easy and comfortable. Jenessa was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Finally, we just loved the St. Petersburg area. Fort De Soto has a wonderful dog beach, downtown St. Petersburg is beautiful, and the beaches are just amazing. Our first visit to the Tampa Bay area was excellent and we plan to visit again. We will definitely stay at Two Waves Cottage again and recommend it as a great vacation rental."

Charming & Casual Gulfport Bungalow
"When I booked Two Waves Cottage I was already smitten with Gulfport from previous visits, I knew that the cottage was in a great location in the Art District & I wondered how I would feel about the inside because there were not that many photos in the listing then. But, from the minute I stepped through the door I loved the place & it was the first time that a vacation rental actually exceeded my expectations. I felt "two waves" wash over me: one of relief and one of pure contentment. The place was clean & fresh smelling, charmingly furnished, casual, beachy & comfortable, with plenty of space to spread out. I chose the slightly smaller back BR because it was away from the street & overlooked the garden by the patio. Both BR's have tall closet-like cupboards that make great use of the vertical space plus both BR's have under bed storage, and additional shelves. I was thrilled to have a large fenced in back yard where my little dog Sophie could play & lounge while I relaxed on the patio. They have some very nice plantings & the bottle brush trees edging the patio provide a nice dappled shade to read under. The houses are close together so it's nice that the fencing is high enough to provide privacy (like for that first day when I bravely put on my bathing suit & thought OMG maybe I should just get a little color here before I go down to the public beach!) Because I have my car here I've enjoyed visiting places nearby like Tampa, downtown St Petersburg, Fort De Soto Park, The Botanical Gardens in Largo (beautiful this year, no admission fee & dogs allowed on leash), Fort Meyers, Dunedin, & Pass-A-Grille for great sunsets. There are 2 bikes for guests to use & I found that I didn't use my car for very long stretches because you can bike or walk to just about everything. We do multiple daily rambles on foot & bike all over Gulfport: Tuesday Fresh Markets, Yoga Class, Library ($10 for a temporary card for seasonal renters), Beach Blvd eateries & shops, the Beach, the Marina & Clam Bayou, Wood Ibis Park (to watch the the Heron, Egrets, Roseate Spoonbills, & of course White Ibis). There's plenty to do right in Gulfport & this year I did the Art Walks, saw a play at Hickman Theater, went to Antiques in the Park, the Get Rescued Event, this Saturday is the Pink Flamingo House Tour, & next week I may finally kayak.. Thank you Sandi & Graham for making my stay so comfortable. I look forward to returning next year to Two Waves, PEACE & LOVE!"

Delightful cottage in a wonderful location
"As soon as I walked in the door, I felt right at home. I loved the decor of the house with its pastel colours and cozy cottage feel. It had all the comforts of home. The spacious fenced backyard gave me a lot of privacy. It was great to sit out in the warm Florida sun, very relaxing spending time with a good book on the patio. The neighbourhood was very friendly. All the amenities I needed were right around the corner. I particularly enjoyed going for walks on the local Gulfport beach and eating at the local restaurants. I took in Art Walk while I was there and really enjoyed the festival atmosphere and excellent shopping. All in all, a great spot and I'm sure I'll be back."

Back to the beach
"Walking through the door of the Two Waves Cottage in Gulfport, I was transported back to childhood; the freedom of summer vacation, with just your shorts and flip flops, and every day a chance to play on the beach. In fact, the local beach is just a short walk from the house. Along the way, I passed wonderful shops and restaurants that gave a feel of a sophisticated city neighbourhood, yet with the casual beach feel that told you, this is truly Florida. My visit was in April 2010, when tourists still came to the town, but they didn't overwhelm, and you had a chance to meet the "locals" with every walk to town. The cottage was a true home, with cool, comfy rooms and the handiness of a full kitchen, living room, and bathroom that make you feel so much more at home than at any hotel. Internet too! Sandi and Graham are friendly and helpful, and keen to point out the great parts of the town. I was lucky enough to be there for "Art walk"; artisans selling everything from hand-made jewelry to works of art, and I even bought a hand-made sun dress, with a tie-dye hoodie for those odd cool nights. Small town charm, with an eye on the outside - the legendary beaches of St Pete are a few minutes away by car. I have no complaints; perhaps it's not the place for someone interested in high-octane theme parks. Then again, with a car, those kind of attractions are a short drive away. Then you'll be "home" again, ready for a cool drink in the yard, then a walk to town for a satisfying meal, and a chance to see the sun set on a classic Florida beach. I'll be back, with friends in tow. And if I can't make it, I'll send someone; it is a truly relaxing and remarkable experience."
