June in Marathon
"Nice rental and owner, very awesome pool, we had fun. As recommended, we had to plan our day around low tide. Channel gets very skinny at low tide. Centrally located to some great snorkeling sites...."

excellence on all levels
"upon booking we didn't realize that the downstairs rooms were separate from from the top level... no stairs linking them unless you went outside. this ended up being perfect as it gave the grandparents their own separate space from us and the little one upstairs. kitchen was well stocked, pool and hot tub were fantastic, and the entire back yard is fenced and perfect for a dog. neighbor hood is nice and quiet. this is our new go-to booking for the future. loved it"

The BEST spring break!

Spring Break Getaway
"Wonderful experience! Outside a living area was the best part of the property. TV and comfortable seating and loungers. The tanning ledge and pool were fantastic. We love the Marathon area there's lots to keep you busy. We saw manatees, sharks, dolphins, a large sing ray, and many birds. The house is in a central location for many attractions and activities."

Great spot for families
"We had a great week here! I have no critiques of the property or management. Would book it again if we were coming back to marathon.
Just some FYIs before booking
The pool was perfect for our 8 month old baby. Tons of shade. Not sure the pool was heated, though, we didn't mind enough to mention or request it. The pool lounge chairs are actually different, and nicer, than advertised.
The downstairs/bedroom is not accessible from inside the house, you have to walk outside to get there.
The no see um bugs are real!! I have 18 bites on one of my legs alone. Bring bug spray and put it on before you think you need it. Not specific to this property because we were bit at the aquarium as well.
This street is nice but the neighborhood is a little run down. Neighbor was nice enough to help us fix our luggage.
Walkable to a restaurant with plenty to do nearby. Grocery store seconds away.
I am allergic to animals and did not have any symptoms even though this house permits animals!"

Thanks for the thoughtful review, Natalie! Glad you enjoyed the week. We have the pool set to 82 but with shorter days, it may be taking longer to get to the right temp. We will look into it! As for the neighborhood, we feel like its a typical keys neighborhood but there are a couple houses that didn't repair after Irma, we wish they would as well but for the most part, everything is back together. Really glad to know that pet allergens didn't get to you, I know you were concerned when you booked. Happy New Year!

Wonderful Family Vacation
"The house was perfect for us which included our 2 year old grandson. The open layout was great. We were all able to be together and there was plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your property."

Great time!
"Great Pool! Nice accommodations. Rented a boat for the week and really only had to be careful one day coming in the canal, low tide was LOW. Only downside from being on a canal and not the owners fault is the mosquitos...they were AWFUL at dusk. Bring bug spray! The house was great, my kids are older so it was nice putting them in the downstairs area. The house manager put the trash cans and recycle out at on the nights they were due to go out for us. Super helpful owner(s) and we would definitely stay here again!"

"The house was amazing and pool makes it even better after a long day on the water. Easy access to great fishing and diving locations and straight shot out to the deep water to offshore fish! Couldn't of been happier with our stay."

"The Yellow House was fantastic(as always). It was very clean and everything worked the way we wanted it too. We had a great time and are already looking forward to next year's trip. Sherry and Jay treated us like part of their family and we could not have asked for better hosts. I have already told my friends/co-workers about this place and have recommended it highly. The fishing/lobster diving we did was a great way for the family to enjoy time together. Once again, we had a great time in Marathon and we look forward to next year's vacation!"

"This was a good home for our Florida Keys vacation. Michelle was great to work with and very helpful both before and during our stay. We were on the move a great deal, but it was lovely at the end of the day to come home to a nice home. It was clean and convenient to everything. We saw a manatee in the canal and enjoyed the quiet street and neighborhood. All in all, highly recommended."

Awesome Stay...Been Bit By The Key's Bug !!
"Our Vacation Stay Was Amazing....fell in love with the keys, our first time down the whole family loved it.... We'll be back.....The accommodations lacked nothing the home is beautiful, with all up to date amenities, very roomy and fresh, we were five adults, plus our two dogs. The Home is in a perfect location central to everything, and the canal view is great....Sherry's personality was very warm and welcoming; her management of the home and knowledge of the area was very helpful, Thank You !! Sherry..... Lots to do, without the hustle and bustle....Dolphin Rescue, Turtle Hospital, Sombrero Beach, Key Colony Beach, Bahia Honda State Park and all the natural beaches, Snorkeling, FISHING!!!! and of course the Sunsets.....They are embedded in mind.... The foods amazing too!!! Castaways Bar and Grill.....Sunset Grill....Barracudas..just to mention a few. Easy Ride to 0 mile marker/Key West..over the 7 mile bridge....down in Key West you can enjoy the bar hopping, music and shops on Duval St...feels like a mini New Orleans....not to mention all the history Hemingway's home Duval house .....and if you want to chill and hang out on the deck back at the house and watch the Iguanas sunbath and the friendly bird that comes for his daily visit or get the grill going with some cold ones and the fresh catch of the day..... its all there to enjoy...... Escape the snow
"Had a very relaxing week at this great house on the cannal. I wish we knew the waters better, and we would have rented a boat. We visited several state parks and beaches. Great local eateries included Porkey's for breakfast or lunch (particularly the barbeque) and Berdines hamburgers. The house was more than enough for the four of us, and the downstairts bathroom was a great addition. We loved the bird that seemed to be the neighbors pet. He arrived daily at about 4:00 and was fed fish scraps. We called him Emmet. We also did a fishing charter one day. That was fantastic! We saw dolphins and parrot fish, and even caught a shark. Our only complaint was the wifi was not working. This just forced it to really be a vacation."

Marathon Key Oceanside Retreat
"My husband and I stayed at this oceanside retreat for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. The house was immaculate, kitchen was well stocked with appliances, decorated well, beds were comfortable. We would certainly consider staying at this location in the future. Convenient to have the boat docked behind the house. There was room on the lot to store boat trailer. Wifi available."

The home was well stocked, beautifully decorated with spacious kitchen/living area. beautifully tiled bathrooms.Lovely beach 3 miles away, large grocery stores, and a good number of restaurants and points of interest close by. Comfort in Paradise !
"13 Day in Paradise and this home made our stay very comfortable we had all of the amenities as of home. The home was immaculate and very well maintained the appliances were new and the furniture was beautiful. The main living area is upstairs, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom is wonderful and the couch was comfy ! The outside of the home was great as well a wrap around porch, a carport area and a boat dock area to tie up your vessel. The home is located in the a convenient location your only about 3 minutes away from the main shopping area of Marathon. The owner is very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay here again !"

"My family and I had a fantastic week's stay in this beautiful home. It was even nicer than the VRBO description; we were pleasantly surprised at every turn. Immaculate and very well maintained, luxurious kitchen, living, bath and the mattresses and linens were top shelf.
The owner was helpful and friendly throughout the entire transaction and I couldn't be happier with my choice to stay at this wonderful home. It has a great location that afforded easy access to fantastic water by way of sea and land. It was also close to fantastic parks, attractions, shopping and dining."

"We had a wonderful time at Turtle Cove. The house was beautiful and set up for fun and relaxation - nightly movies in the hot tub with rum punch - who could ask for more! Michelle was amazing and always right there if we had a questions or issue .
We loved the canal - had a visit from a Manatee and kayaked out to the groves to see the Iguanas. Hope to come back next year!"

Turtle Cove -Awesome!
"Had a great week long vacation on Marathon Key and at the house known as Turtle Cove. The house is centrally located on the island chain making it a good place for activities from Key Largo to Key West.
The house is well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, etc... It is a clean and comfortable home. My family spent evening hours in the swimming pool and the hot tub.
I highly recommend this home. Michelle is welcoming and very helpful in regards to the property as well in the community with recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and water activities."

Turtle Cove....a Florida Keys Gem!
"Pictures don't do this place justice! We can tell that the new owners put a lot of time into finding creative decor that supports the new name....Turtle Cove! We enjoyed the neighborhood and visiting with the locals. The dolphin research center, turtle hospital and the aquarium are a must do with the kids! Great food is close by and even a couple places walking distance. We are trying to find another week to come back before next year. Michelle was a great host - goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. When we walked in, we had ice cold cucumber water - it hit the spot after a day of travel. Thanks again to Michelle and to the owners for sharing their home...we can't wait to come back!"

Perfect for a family with grown children
"Our party includedmy husband and our adult daughter with her husband and their little one. This home has two separate living quarters which are not connected internally. This was actually very nice for us as we felt that we each had our own space. The pool area was impeccable, well thought out and well maintained. My granddaughter loved the sun bathing edge; it became her own pool. From first contact with the property manager to the time we exited, we were satisfied. As property renters ourselves, we can be tough customers. The only advice I would have is to add a few blankets. Some of us like sleeping under the weight of a substantial blanket. Great stay!
