This three-bedroom, two-bath home, which sleeps eight, has a 45-foot dock with ample room for your boat. It is only one house away from the mouth of a deep-water canal that leads directly to the Gulf. There is plenty of off-street parking for your vehicles and boat trailer. A free local boat ramp is just a few blocks away. This home is designed for people who love to fish. It has a bait freezer, fish-cleaning station and deluxe gas grill. After you prepare your catch, you can dine indoors or outdoors on the wraparound deck while watching the sunset.
After a day of fishing and boating, take a dip in the swimming pool; then relax with friends and family in the new 7-person hot tub. Outside lighting illuminates the deck and pool and adds to the romance and ambience of the evening. You can also enjoy your favorite shows with the free WIFI and DVR from one of the four flat screen TVs.
Your vacation home is located at the end of a quiet street between a canal and nature sanctuary. So, after a restful night, start your day watching the sunrise over the peaceful nature preserve while sitting in the Adirondack captain chairs on the east side of the wraparound deck. Take advantage of the adjacent nature preserve to canoe or kayak to one of the locals' favorite snorkeling areas.
With more than 1,700 square feet under air, this home has multiple entertaining areas where you can spend time with family and friends or quiet time alone. The entry level has a den that offers an entertaining area with a TV, sleeper sofa and love seat. Adjacent to the den is the master bedroom with its own TV and a king-size Dreamcloud luxury hybrid mattress. The master bathroom is conveniently located near the pool and hot tub. Upstairs, there is an open-plan living and dining area with a TV and well-equipped kitchen. There is also a full bath and two more bedrooms—one with a king-size bed with a memory foam cool-gel mattress topper and TV and another with two memory foam twins. All the beds come with fleece blankets or quilts and pillows.
This is a weekly rental from Saturday at 5 p.m. to Saturday at 9 a.m. The City of Marathon Vacation Rental code ordinance prohibits us from renting for less than 7 days.

Standard weekly rate is $2,200 plus 12.5% taxes and cleaning fee of $250. Some holiday weeks, mini lobster season and the beginning of lobster season is $2,500 plus 12.5% taxes and cleaning fee of $250.
The pool can be heated for an additional fee.

Hurricane Cancellation Policy: Effective June 1 to Nov. 30, everyone must vacate the premises when a mandatory evacuation order has been issued due to a pending hurricane. We strongly encourage you to purchase “cancel for any reason” Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment! In the unlikely event that a hurricane evacuation is ordered while you are a guest and you have not purchased travel insurance, you will be issued a refund for any unused portion of your stay.
Hurricane and Pandemic Cancellation Policy: Guests holding a confirmed reservation who are unable to travel because of the closing of the local airports or connecting roadways, and have not purchased “cancel for any reason” Travel Insurance, will receive credit for a future stay. No refunds will be issued if you are unable to travel for other reasons, such as canceled flights or adverse travel conditions outside of the Florida Keys.

What’s Included
All linens are provided, including sheets, fleece blankets, beach towels, bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, and dishcloths and dish towels. We have blankets and pillows for every bed, including the sleeper sofa. The master bedroom adjacent to the den has a king-size Dreamcloud luxury hybrid mattress. The upstairs king-size bed has a memory foam cool-gel mattress topper.
We have central heat and air conditioning, but we provide fans in most of the rooms because we love fans and thought you would too. There are portable fans in all the bedrooms. The kitchen has a shop-rated fan that can be taken outside, but can’t be left there because it is not outdoor-rated. The living room has an overhead remote-controlled fan.
There is a blow dryer in each bathroom and one bathroom has a curling iron. An iron and ironing board is in the upstairs king bedroom. We also have an alarm clock in each room.
We offer quality aluminum beach chairs for your day at the beach and floatation devices for the pool.
The gas grill is equipped with propane, utensils, disposable aluminum foil pans, stainless steel flat grill, and a portable outdoor lamp.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils, dishes, coffee pot, microwave, toaster, etc., that you would expect. We also include coffee filters for the coffee maker. Kitchen appliances include a double door refrigerator with a water and crushed ice dispenser and a convection oven that has ceramic stovetop and warmer drawer.
Some rentals say they offer "starter kits."
We give our guests full containers of laundry detergent, Dawn detergent, and Cascade dishwasher detergent. We also provide Windex, 2 rolls of paper towels, 9 quality trash bags for the stainless steel kitchen container, dishwashing sponge, cleaning brush, and several shop towels. In both bathrooms, we provide Skin-So-Soft, Bandaids, hand soap, travel-size shampoo and body wash, 4-6 rolls of toilet paper, plenty of bath towels, and Glade deodorizing spray. We also have a Swifter mop with refills, a broom and a vacuum sweeper.

The house is very nice and the area is quiet. The home owners are very very nice too. Other than the no-see-em bites. We had a very good time. The only thing I would recommend is making sure u have bug repellent. Thanks again to the homeowners.

This is a beautiful and well-maintained property with all the amenities you will need. We had terrible weather the week we were here, but a brand new Jacuzzi, wrap around porch with great views all around, very comfortable beds and lots of TVs made it all OK.
We are not pool people, but this is honestly the cleanest pool I have ever seen in the Keys. Good landscaping makes for a nice secluded feeling here. Interesting people watching in the rental across the canal too ;)
The nature preserve next-door is a biologists dream and it’s all yours to explore. There is lots of seaweed there that is amazingly unstinky...which is often an issue in the Keys.
My only complaint is the noseeums-if you are a magnet for them like I am you will want to bring and slather up on your favorite bug spray...Or use the Avon provided by the hosts.
All in all this is a great property with very responsive and unobtrusive owners, and we highly recommend it.

Shared the house with another couple and the set up of the house with the master bedroom and bath downstairs and one upstairs, gave us plenty of alone time if needed. We visited as a family group of 5 adults and 2 children and loved everything about staying in Greg and Melinda's home. This has got to be the best equipped holiday rental we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Brilliant to not have to worry about toilet roll, dishwasher liquid etc... We hired kayaks and enjoyed paddling from the dock. We also hired bikes and cycled to shops, Sombrero beach and a couple of local restaurants. Info on hire companies was provided on leaflets in property.
When we were not out we enjoyed sunrise on the front terrace and sunset on the back terrace. Having a working gas BBQ in a rental was a real treat and pool was perfect temperature.We would not hesitate to recommend.

We had a lovely time at this home. The house owners would normally have met us for check-in but we had a flight delay. Communication was good for getting into the house and for pool cleaning mid-week. We were a party of four but six would certainly be comfortable. The pool and hot tub were clean and we used them every day. My only negative was that the bedrooms were hot at night but there are plenty of fans provided and we worked out a comfortable set up. I recommend this property for couples or families with children.

My kids and I have been coming down to Marathon every year for 12 years or so.
We have rented a home for a week every time. Of all other properties, this one is the best overall we’ve stayed at! Location is really sweet, house is very well maintained, every amenity you can think of is at your disposal! Very peaceful and relaxing.
