Anna Maria Island is the First Barrier Island south of Tampa Bay. Bradenton Beach is at the south end of the Island. To the west, The Gulf of Mexico offers miles of spectacular, uninterrupted sugar sand beaches and emerald waters. To the east, Anna Maria Sound, a mangrove lined bay, has calm docking and mooring areas, a municipal pier, boat launches, nature trails and the Florida Intracoastal Waterway.
Bradenton Beach is just an hour's drive from Tampa International Airport. The Sarasota/Bradenton Airport is sixteen miles to the east. Interstate 75 is forty minutes away. Access from the mainland, to the east (Bradenton) is by bridges on Cortez Road W (Rte 684) or Manatee Avenue W (Rte 64). From the south (Longboat Key) via the bridge over Longboat Pass. The Island is seven miles long and only a few blocks wide, providing the sounds and feel of the water wherever you are.
The condo has been completely renovated - even some walls were moved. The floors in the bedrooms are carpeted, the rest is 18 inch Italian Terra Rosa porcelain tile. Panel doors, over-sized baseboards and trim, recessed lighting and faux wall finishes contribute to the British-Colonial inspired decor. Gulf View is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico, at the west end of Historic Bridge Street. it is an oasis - a quiet, peaceful, comfortable space where you can relax and rejuvenate.
The open-concept living-dining area has two bamboo framed upholstered love seats, swivel barrel chairs so you can enjoy the sunsets, an entertainment center stocked with books, board games and a 42' Hi-Definition TV and DVD player. There is a variable speed ceiling fan. Sliding glass doors open to a screened-in balcony, overlooking the beach, which provides Gulf breezes, the sound of the surf, spectacular views of the water and each evening a beautiful and unique sunset. Watch the diving pelicans and, if you are lucky, catch a glimpse of a dolphin.
The dining area has a rattan glass topped table with six chairs. There is a pass-thru bar to the kitchen. The chandelier has a dimmer switch - for your mood lighting.
The kitchen was gutted and reconfigured. The wall between the kitchen and the dining room was raised with a pass-thru bar. Short upper cabinets with see-thru glass on both sides were installed over the bar. All new cabinets, appliances and counter tops were installed throughout. There is an east facing window with a top-down, bottom-up pleated shade enabling you to get light from the top while otherwise having total privacy. The kitchen is gourmet equipped with dishes, flatware, pots, pans, bake-ware, utensils and small appliances. Whether you want a cup of coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice or a full gourmet meal, whatever you need is there!
The master bedroom has direct access to the balcony. A Cafe Au Lait color wicker bedroom suite has a king-size bed with a premium mattress, dresser and two night stands. There is a 37' HD TV, a DVD Player, a large walk-in closet with custom organizers, a variable speed ceiling fan and an en-suite bath.
Since #101 is an end unit, the second bedroom does not have windows on the catwalk. There is complete privacy. A south facing, outside wall window has a room darkening, top-down bottom/up custom shade. Outfitted with a white wicker suite, two twins beds with premium mattresses, a night stand, chest of drawers and dresser. It is decorated with beautiful linens, has a variable-speed ceiling fan and a wall-to-wall organized closet. The tub/shower full bath is one step from the bedroom door.
Both bathrooms have adult height vanities, handicapped height toilets, full width/height mirrors, exhaust fans and recessed lighting. Each has all new fixtures and was decorated to co-ordinate with its adjacent bedroom. The vanities have ample room with drawers and under-sink storage.
The screened-in balcony, which is directly on the Gulf of Mexico, runs across the front of the condo.. It is furnished with a table and four chairs; two mesh, hi-back swivel rockers and a side table. There are two ceiling fans. You have an unparalleled view of the Gulf of Mexico and a front row seat for the nightly show at sunset.
There is an in-unit full sized washer and dryer. The unit has its own central air conditioner and furnace with thermostat that you can set to your comfort level. The keyless entry door has a separate all wood louvered screen door with a lock. You can enjoy cross ventilation with security and complete privacy. This is a secured building with a key-pad entry door. There are two assigned parking spots under the building. Free Wi-Fi.
Anna Maria Island provides a daily free trolley that runs every 20 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. from the Anna Maria City Pier on the north to Coquina Beach on the south. Trolleys offer both air conditioned and open-air seating. The trolley stop is in front of the building.
A convenience grocery store is directly across the street. A Supermarket, (Publix), is about 7 minutes north - it is reachable by trolley as are most restaurants and shops on the island. You also have the option of ordering online and having your groceries delivered to your door. There are ten restaurants and two premium ice cream shops within a few blocks walk of the condo. No need for a car.
Beach chairs, umbrella, toys and rafts are provided. There is parasailing, jet-skiing, yoga on the beach and many other activities nearby. Get in the car and drive a short distance to golf, theaters, malls, botanic gardens, art galleries and more.
Shopping at Armands Circle. Art fairs and community special events happening all the time. One block to public fishing pier.
Nearby attractions include Ringling Museum of Art, Selby Botanical Gardens, Disney World, Epcot, and Sea World to name a few.

My family and I stayed in this condo over the summer and it was wonderful. The photos listed on the site are as they appear in person. The condo is in a great location with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The Circle K across the street is very convenient if you need something quickly. There is a Publix and Walgreen's just a few minutes down the road. This condo offers an amazing view as it sits Gulf front with breathtaking sunsets. The best part for me is I was able to bring my two dogs. The owner is very friendly and cares about her tenants experience. Thank you Shirley!

We have stayed at a number of Gulf Front places on AMI. We enjoyed our week in this updated, clean and tastefully decorated condo Everything was there, from the first day's coffee to dishwaser detergent. Beach supplies for all ages were also available. .The balcony looks down at the pool and an unobstructed view of the Island's beautiful sunsets. All updated appliances and keyless entry. (No risk of losing the keys). It is within a short walking distance of food and geat entertainment. However, if you spend more of your time on the beach you cannot hear anything but the waves. For pet owners there is a small beach access area where your animals can go for that quick walk right next door.

This condo is located steps from the beach with a nice pool facing the gulf. View from balcony is awesome. Owner is very easy to contact if needed and responds back right away every time. My family and I have stayed at Gulf View for over 10 years and rented this unit the past 2 times. Already booked next year here also. Every year is filled with new ventures. This year there were plenty of dolphins everyday swimming along the beach. Also seen some manatees. My family and I used paddle boards and followed along with them. Kids had a blast. Very family friendly place. Very clean also. Plenty to do. All within walking distance. No need to drive anywhere if you don't want to. This was the second time staying here and again, it was perfect. We feel so at home there. It has everything you would ever need. The condo is beautiful, very clean and the beach there is fantastic. We hope to make it again next summer!!!!

I agree with the other great reviews. A great location, right on the beach, with a balcony overlooking the pool and beach. A convenience store is across the street, restaurants and great ice cream are within walking distance.
There is covered parking for two cars, and the unit is only one flight up. The unit is immaculate, and very well equipped with high quality appliances.
The owner is extremely responsive. We’ve never had a problem, but even minor questions and concerns are answered immediately. This is definitely a worry-free rental, and a great value.

We were searching for a fun place to getaway and chill and this vacation rental definitely filled the bill. We even brought our dog! The gulf front view is amazing; beach and gulf were excellent. The previous reviews are spot on, so read 'em!
Close to restaurants and shops. We had a car (nice shaded/covered parking for two cars) so we walked to many spots and drove to others. The unit was very clean, well maintained and decorated nicely. Everything worked well, we had no issues, but had confidence the owner would have handled things promptly had we encountered any problems. She was easy to work with, friendly and very responsive. You can't go wrong with this vacation spot! Highly Recommended!

Unit 101 is a beautiful ocean front, second floor condo with a stunning view of the ocean
from the kitchen, dining area, living room and master bedroom through two large sliding glass doors. The unit was immaculate. The rooms are large. The two bedrooms are separated by the back to back bathrooms. Even though the dining area is next to the kitchen, we chose to eat most of our meals on the balcony that has two ceiling fans and two comfortable chairs that rock and swivel. There is also a table and four chairs on the balcony. The kitchen is well designed and fully equipped. The beds are very comfortable. The towels are large and plush.
This ten unit condo is ideally located because it is within easy walking distance of several great restaurants (some with live music). Strolling through the neighborhood after dinner is delightful. Souvenir, clothing and ice cream shops are also close by. There is a convenience store across the street. A wide asphalt, pedestrian, shaded, walking/biking path is two blocks south of the condo. It parallels the ocean and is set in a park with large trees, picnic tables, bathrooms and extremely friendly squirrels. We looked forward to walking on this path every day.
The condo building is well maintained, safe and convenient for unloading your car. Since parking is under the building, you can walk seamlessly from your car to the entrance door, rain or shine and stay dry. The two glass doors that lead from the parking area to the stairs are locked at all times. Push the correct numbers on the keypad to gain entrance to the condos. Another number sequence is needed to enter the unit. No keys necessary!
We loved every minute of our stay. We knew by the end of the first day we wanted to rebook for next year.

Stayed in unit 101. The ground floor is parking directly under the Building and this unit has room for two cars. So the unit is not at ground level its up one story (very nice) The unit has a beautiful full kitchen, two bedrooms and two full baths. The living room and master bedroom have glass doors onto the beautiful private balcony that over looks the pool and the gulf of Mexico. The balcony is a great place to watch the sunset and people watch. If you're lucky you will see dolphin. The unit is clean and well maintained. I have stayed many places on the island this is one of the nicest. It is steps from bridge street and near by restaurants, shops, and bars. Ye the building directly on the gulf is quiet and has a pool and sunning area and private gate to the beach (beautiful) Did I mention it also has a full size washer and dryer. A great place that I totally recommend.

What can I say? This is the 3rd year in a row that we have stayed in this beautiful condo on Anna Maria Island and it is definitely our home away from home. We have been coming down to Anna Maria Island for 9 years now and this is the place where we prefer to stay. We can't possibly think of anything that we would need for our vacation that this condo does not offer. The location is superb and such a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunset out the backdoor. Whether you want to dine in or go out there are so many places to dine at or grab a cocktail that are within walking distance. Located next door to one of the best restaurants on the island.... The Beach House......or across the street from the popular Bridge St. area you would not even need a car. Everything you will need is within walking distance. I highly recommend this vacation rental. I already have my reservation in for next year if that says anything. So enjoy and reserve now.... you won't be disappointed.
