The property is under new ownership and each space has been thoughtfully redecorated. The backyard Oasis features a heated pool with spa, swim up table and shallow pad. Several new patio chairs, loungers, umbrellas, outdoor dining table and Weber grill complete the backyard pool area.

About owner
Craig McLaren and Amy McLaren are experienced property rental hosts. They began hosting guests with a custom built log home in 2007 in the New England mountains. Since discovering the beauty of Anna Maria Island in 2016, they dreamed of one day owning a beach home. That dream became a reality in 2020 after Craig lost his corporate job of 26 years. It was time for a change of latitude, so we found and purchased Calypso Cottage in Holmes Beach in Oct of 2020, followed by acquiring Kiwi Cottage in March of 2021. We are excited to host you and your group for your next island getaway!

This awesome vacation property includes many beach essentials such as a beach wagon, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, tubes and games. Golf cart is available by separate rental agreement.

Overall, we would highly recommend Kiwi Cottage . The pool was great to come back to after a day at the beach . The beach was farther away than we anticipated, but we rented a golf cart which we highly recommend. The beach access was a little difficult to find. We suggest directions be given to renters ahead of time or post in the house . We had a great trip and excellent weather ! -- Steven, Thank you for your review of Kiwi Cottage. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. The app that we ask our guests to download does have a section on Beach Access, but we will look into posting that in the home somewhere as well. Golf carts are a great option and most people really seem to enjoy them. It is a fun aspect of staying on the island! Please come back to stay with us on your next visit.

For the past four years we always rented from this site for our family vacays in May and have never been disappointed with any of our stays. This year we came earlier and stayed at this home for a month due to covid -19. (Needed to be close to my elderly family that live on Anna Maria.) With sadness around us, this house only brought great joy to our family of four! It’s was perfect and we never had a issue. I would highly suggest staying here. Second stay at this home! 2020-03-09

This is the 2nd time we rented this place. It was a great experience both times. Both trips we had a small infant grandson with us so the backyard pool was wonderful. When we realized the patio umbrella was broken and the tv remote batteries were weak, the maintenance crew replaced them in less than a few hours. I recommend renting from Anna Maria Vacation Properties. -- Thank you for the wonderful review, Pat! Great stay at kiwi cottage 2020-03-09

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at Kiwi Cottage. Although this home is a duplex, it was very quiet and we had our very own private heated pool! We couldnt even tell that we had neighbors sharing walls with us! The beach is a very close walk and so are local restaurants. We recommend using Anna Maria Vacations they were very helpful and always friendly! -- Thank you so much for the 5 star review, Linda!
