Sanibel is the perfect setting for your dream vacation. You will be captivated by its beauty and tranquility. We invite you to come to Sanibel, be our guest, and experience paradise.
Hi, my name is Dave Herrick. My wife Sandy and I live on Lake Winnipesaukee in southern NH. We purchased this unit in 2016 and totally renovated it the next year. We have been coming to Sanibel for over 35 years. We owned a condo in the 80s which we, unfortunately sold in 1992. Ever since then, we had been hoping to be able to someday re-establish an ownership position on the Island. Our desire is to establish a high quality, well maintained units to which our guests will want to return to year after year.
During the 80s we made Sanibel our annual vacation, usually over the Holidays to coincide with school vacations for our three boys. Sometimes we had Christmas trees and boats in tow. Sometimes it was grandparents joining us to escape the Boston cold. On every occasion, it was a trip we all looked forward to with excitement and anticipation. My kids learned to swim on Sanibel. This is where they saw their first alligator in the wild. We took daily bike rides on the miles of bike paths and explored the wildlife at the numerous sanctuaries. Sometimes we just walked the beach at low tide and talked about whatever interesting shells we found. Overall, Sanibel became a very special place in our lives. It became a place we all enjoyed together; a difficult concept to achieve in a diverse and growing family. During the nineties, we missed our southern sojourns, but with the kids involved in school activities and moving on to college, it became increasingly difficult to schedule family trips.
In 2004 we purchased a unit at Oceans Reach Resort and in 2016 we bought a second unit at the Sundial Resort. You can view both these units at www.sanibelretreats.com.
Interestingly, the kids, now married with families and embarking upon their own lives and careers, have rekindled their memories and attraction to the Island.
We are looking forward to this new phase in our life and to sharing our Sanibel homes with our children and with other new and returning visitors.

Sanibel Island and Sundial A 203 is off the beautiful Gulf Coast of southwest Florida, across a causeway and a few miles west of Ft. Myers. Popular amenities and activities in the area include world class shelling and fishing, 14 miles of unspoiled beaches, 25 miles of bike paths, 6000 acres of nature preserve, golf, tennis, boutique shopping, museums, superb dining, live theater, art galleries, and a variety of water sports.
If you are looking for a South Florida vacation and you like world-class beaches in a relaxed tropical environment, Sanibel must be on your list of vacation destinations.
Our ocean front unit is only 25 feet from the beach, an amenity hard to find anywhere on the Island. Located almost exactly on the elbow of Sanibel, the views from the beach offer both inspiring morning sunrises and spectacular evening sunsets. With limited development on both sides, the atmosphere of tropical remoteness and serenity is enhanced.
We have been coming to Sanibel for over 35 years. The ride across the Causeway is like a passage to another place and time. The miles of bike paths throughout the island, the endless variety of small specialty shops, the fine variety of excellent restaurants, the abundance of nature preserves and other outdoor activities and the opportunity to enjoy live theater and the arts all contribute to this mystique. Perhaps what Sanibel does not have is as important as what it does possess. There are no traffic lights, no high rises and no sense of urban congestion.
If you have never been to Sanibel, we believe you will find it to be a uniquely tropical vacation destination. If you are a returning visitor, we invite you to consider Sundial A203 for your vacation. In either case, we believe you will be very happy with your choice.

Our first trip to Sanibel was well worth the long drive! The condo was absolutely perfect! One of the best we have ever stayed in. The closeness to the beach and view was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and I loved the openness of the bedroom and living room. Very appropriate beach décor and loved the tile floors. The island had many dining choices, we especially enjoyed Island Cow and Sanibel Grill (next to Timberlins) Jerry's is a nice grocery store on the island with nice souvenir shops close by. Captiva Beach is worth a visit as we took a sunset cruise which was nice.

Location is perfect, easy to find and centrally located. The views and proximity to the ocean are even better than the photos show and our reservation/check-in process couldn't have been smoother. We rented a car for the week and parking was very easy, plus access to main roads like Perrywinkle and the connector to Captiva are very close. He even has some fun games in the condo for a night in on the patio.

This owner put tile everywhere. Smart for the beach! Easy to clean and no stinky wet carpet from the previous weeks renters. This condo was clean from top to bottom. Hats off to their cleaning person. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. We would have cooked more but Gramma Dot's and Doc Fords beckoned. There are fans in every room including 2 on the lenai. Fans on the lanai may seem like a little deal but we used them every day when we ate breakfast and lunch on the lenai. The color scheme and decorating must have been professionally finished. I would be remiss if I didn't mentioned the thick cushy and super comfortable mattress. The owner didn't spare any expense to make a first class rental. Some owners are easier to work with than others. This owner was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. My wife and I concluded that this was the best condo we have ever rented in 35 years of vacationing.

This was a great place to stay with remarkable views from the whole condo. The place was immaculate and had all the necessities. The bed was nice and comfortable. The lanai was great to just take a nap on. The lanai furniture was great quality. The completely tiled shower was an added bonus. The availability of a washer and dryer was a welcome comfort. The living room furniture was comfortable and there were some chairs to sit and read with lamps properly located.
Overall we had an excellent stay. The owner was a pleasure to work with in booking the place. We would definitely stay here again.
