Our hosts for December are sister-partners Claire Carter-Daly and Emma Carter-Stringer of Beach Retreats who share their passion for making an Anna Maria Island vacations the best they can offer for their visitors.

1. What inspired you to start hosting your Florida Vacation Rental?

Claire (my sister) and I developed a love for Anna Maria Island and surrounding areas when vacationing here as young children. We decided in 2015 what better place to raise our families than here…so we made the leap and now…we work here, live here, and play here. We love this area and we wanted to share it with others, adding our personal touch to offering a unique island experience. 

2. How do you exceed your Guest’s Expectations? Why do they keep coming back?

As a small boutique rental agency, we pride ourselves on selecting only a handful of the newest, most pristine vacation rentals. We have chosen vacation homes to suit all group sizes and specifications without compromising the highest standards we hold ourselves to. Being this discerning has earned us the trust of many vacationers who have come back year after year. We pride ourselves on giving every guest a very personal experience. From the first point of contact until when our guests depart, we are available any time by phone, text or in person. We are also one of the few agencies with a focus on homes from Anna Maria Island to Lido Key. We know that while many people are happy to return to the same vacation home year after year, others like to try out new places. We hope our personalized service and spectacular homes will allow our guests to truly experience the islands as they were meant to be! 

3. Why are you passionate about your Anna Maria Island Vacation Rentals?

We are passionate about sharing the beauty of Anna Maria Island and the surrounding keys to our guests. To know that we have played a small role in impacting the lives of families enjoying time together at the beach or couples escaping for a romantic getaway…even a larger group of girls or guys from all different areas coming together to connect…we have helped to make those experiences possible and that brings us great joy!

4. What are the Keys to Your Success that others may not know about?

We are always busy running up and down the island to ensure our guests have everything they need but we are ALWAYS available to answer any questions they may have during a holiday stay. We want to make a guest’s stay as comfortable as possible so we offer the extra personal touch at any point in time and ensure that we are always a call or text away, regardless of the time of day. 

Quality Vacation Rental Inspections

We invest in proactive care of the properties with quality inspections upon check-in and check-out to note repairs or maintenance needs, as well as quarterly inventory checks to ensure properties are in the best possible condition for our guests. 

We maintain excellent relations with our vendors, from cleaning to pool and regular maintenance our partners help us to prepare and maintain our homes for each guest’s stay. 

As a result of the relationships, we built our service vendors are on top of emergencies that may occur during a guest’s stay, allowing us to address issues quickly and efficiently.

5. Why do you recommend your area for the perfect Florida vacation?

Anna Maria Island has beautiful white-sand beaches and crystal-blue water along with Instagram-worthy sunsets and delicious seafood at waterfront restaurants, you can experience an exotic, tropical vacation without even having to leave the United States. 

6. What would be the perfect itinerary for a stay in your host of the month homes?

Explore the sand-covered beaches of Anna Maria. The beaches are a popular spot for locals and tourists alike especially BEAN POINT. The area is best known for Its piers, both City Pier and Rod and Reel Pier, as well as the Historic Society, The Green Village and Shopping on Pine Avenue that can be enjoyed by a casual walk down Pine Avenue. And don’t miss stopping at Ginny and Jane E’s Café for breakfast or The Sandbar for the best sunset dinner! And everyone knows your name at Slim’s Place Sports Bar…known for No Shower Happy Hour! 

In Holmes Beach, you can enjoy a nice evening walk along the beach or celebrate a special occasion with dinner at The Beach Bistro! Rent a boat from Keys Marina or take a sunset dolphin cruise. A local favorite meeting spot for coffee Is Island Coffee Haus, part of Holmes Beach Shopping center with great local shops like Sand Dollar! 

Bradenton Beach is one of our favorite dinner and music spots are the Blue Marlin on Bridge Street, excellent food and atmosphere. Bridge Street offers a variety of fun Island style bars and restaurants…be sure to check out Anna Maria Oyster Bar, a local favorite for a margarita on the water and family-friendly as well!

7. Describe your Anna Maria Island vacation rental experience in three words?

Relaxed. Memorable. Luxurious!

8. Who would you recommend your properties to?

Our host of the month properties suit families, groups, and individuals of all ages. Many of our properties are within close proximity to the beaches and the island can be enjoyed by bike, golf cart, or free trolley…ensuring that everyone can relax and unwind during their stay.
